The latest look at the ambitious game focuses on combat, showing off some of the fancy fisticuffs your gene-spliced character will engage in as well as revealing a new pre-order bonus class.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span>One of the many sources of\u00a0Biomutant&#8217;s inspiration is martial arts, though\u00a0it takes more\u00a0of an\u00a0over-the-top\u00a0form here. The video is a montage of the outrageous melee attacks at your disposal,\u00a0made even more ridiculous by the comic-book-style onomatopoeia that accompanies big hits. The trailer also reveals the Mercenary class, which will be available as a pre-order bonus. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span>The Mercenary\u00a0has the ability to dual-wield from the start and sports a katana and smaller Wakizashi blades. Those who pre-order all digital versions of the game and certain physical versions (except the standard physical release) are eligible to receive the Mercenary on launch day. If you&#8217;re worried about missing out, don&#8217;t sweat it too much.\u00a0The Mercenary will\u00a0be sold\u00a0separately sometime after launch.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gameinformer.com\/2021\/03\/25\/biomutant-flexes-its-martial-arts-prowess-in-new-combat-trailer\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here to watch embedded media<\/a><\/p>\n<p><span><span>Biomutant is being developed by Experiment 101 and was first announced in 2017, so it\u2019s been floating around for quite some time. Numerous delays have hit the ambitious project, and the developer only recently shed light on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gameinformer.com\/2021\/01\/29\/developer-explains-why-biomutant-took-so-long-to-come-out\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">why that\u2019s been the case<\/a>. Players can create their own furry mutant fighter who is fully customizable thanks to a range of mutagenic abilities (like telekinesis) that players can \u201csplice\u201d into them. The game boasts a full open world that can be traversed on foot or by using several types of vehicles on both land and in the sky. There\u2019s also a morality system plus\u00a0the aforementioned deep combat where you juggle\u00a0conventional martial arts with your mutant abilities. Needless to say, Biomutant is shooting to achieve <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gameinformer.com\/games\/biomutant\/b\/playstation4\/archive\/2018\/02\/19\/new-trailer-shows-you-the-scope-of-its-wild-world.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">quite a lot<\/a>.
