Well, making a new videogame for fans to buy and play would be a good start\u2014but what if the TV show is <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pcgamer.com\/fallout-tv-series\/\">Fallout<\/a> and you&#8217;re Bethesda<\/p>\n<p>Since Fallout 5 could still be as much as a decade away, there&#8217;s another possibility to keep Fallout fans busy with something new<em>ish<\/em>, at least: remasters of Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas. I imagine we&#8217;ll probably get at least one of those remasters in the future: the same leak that was right about the Oblivion remaster also said a <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pcgamer.com\/games\/fallout\/fallout-3-remastered-seems-almost-inevitable-now-but-still-a-long-way-off\/\">Fallout 3 remaster<\/a> was in the works.<\/p>\n<p>So I guess the real question is: when?<\/p>\n<p>Naturally, fans are hoping it&#8217;ll be sooner and not later\u2014many even hope <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pcgamer.com\/games\/fallout\/a-steam-glitch-convinced-some-fallout-fans-a-new-vegas-remaster-was-imminent-only-to-have-the-rug-yanked-out-from-under-them-slowly-turning-into-r-halflife\/\">a remaster will be announced<\/a> alongside the Fallout Season 2 finale this week\u2014and Bethesda is doing its part to keep that hopium flowing. A new ad promoting Bethesda&#8217;s Fallout games was posted today, and some fans claim it not-so-subtly suggests that a Fallout 3 remaster announcement is imminent.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s because the ad shows Aaron Moten, who plays Maximus on the Fallout TV series, inside Fallout 3. Hmm\u2026<\/p>\n<div class=\"youtube-video\" data-nosnippet >\n<div class=\"video-aspect-box\"><iframe data-lazy-priority=\"high\" data-lazy-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube-nocookie.com\/embed\/bW9MLuUQklY\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>In the ad, Moten is roommates with a giant Vault Boy mascot. In what some fans think might be a hint at a remaster, when Moten asks why their apartment is such a mess, Vault Boy&#8217;s POV shows the dialogue UI from Fallout 3. Not Fallout 4. Double ah-ha!<\/p>\n<p>See, it all makes sense: we&#8217;re getting a Fallout 3 remaster soon and this, for some reason, is how Bethesda chose to let us know! In the video, the pair also appear in the opening to Fallout: New Vegas, too. That&#8217;s gotta mean a FNV remaster is nigh as well, right?<\/p>\n<figure class=\"van-image-figure inline-layout\" data-bordeaux-image-check >\n<div class='image-full-width-wrapper'>\n<div class='image-widthsetter' style=\"max-width:2186px;\">\n<p class=\"vanilla-image-block\" style=\"padding-top:53.11%;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" id=\"FrXPQ9TQo7qMmcKLSb2Azn\" name=\"moten3\" alt=\"Aaron Moten in Fallout games\" src=\"https:\/\/arcader.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/bethesda-keeps-the-fallout-remaster-hopium-flowing-by-putting-aaron-moten-inside-fallout-3-and-new-vegas-1.jpg\" mos=\"\" align=\"middle\" fullscreen=\"\" width=\"2186\" height=\"1161\" attribution=\"\" endorsement=\"\" class=\"inline\"><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><figcaption itemprop=\"caption description\" class=\" inline-layout\"><span class=\"credit\" itemprop=\"copyrightHolder\">(Image credit: Bethesda)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Of course, Moten and Vault Boy also show up in Fallout Shelter and Fallout 76 in the video, so it&#8217;s much more likely that this is just another ad for <em>all <\/em>the Bethesda Fallout games, which are <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pcgamer.com\/games\/fallout\/the-whole-fallout-series-is-at-a-steep-discount-on-steam-so-if-youve-been-waiting-29-years-to-begin-your-journey-in-the-wasteland-your-time-is-now\/\">on sale right now<\/a>, and not some clandestine hint that we&#8217;re getting remasters anytime soon.<\/p>\n<p>But hey, nothing wrong with a bit of hopium, and it&#8217;s also another clear indication that Fallout fans would love to throw some more money at Bethesda so maybe Todd Howard should, y&#8217;know, make something Fallout-related happen before we&#8217;re all dead. Also, stick around for the end of the ad when it appears Moten starts laughing.
