Borislav Slavov, the creator of the Baldur&#8217;s Gate 3 and Divinity: Original Sin 2 soundtracks, is composing the music for the studio&#8217;s next game, <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pcgamer.com\/divinity\/\">Divinity<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We wouldn&#8217;t be able to stop him even if we wanted to,&#8221; Larian boss Swen Vincke responded when asked about Borislav&#8217;s return during today&#8217;s <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/Games\/comments\/1q870w5\/comment\/nylwvra\/?utm_source=share&#038;utm_medium=web3x&#038;utm_name=web3xcss&#038;utm_term=1&#038;utm_content=share_button\" target=\"_blank\">AMA on Reddit<\/a>. &#8220;He&#8217;s been very busy composing and recording new material. It&#8217;s pretty great.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s not entirely a surprise: Slavov posted on <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Borislav_Slavov\/status\/1999373463060967890\">X<\/a><a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"\" target=\"_blank\"> <\/a>that &#8220;we are back&#8221; when Divinity was revealed at The Game Awards in December 2025. Still, it&#8217;s nice to have official word from the top, and the interest in Slavov&#8217;s return runs deep enough that the question was asked twice. Larian publishing director Michael Douse fielded the second one, writing, &#8220;Bobby never left. He&#8217;s cooking.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>(They call him Bobby, you see.)<\/p>\n<div class=\"youtube-video\" data-nosnippet >\n<div class=\"video-aspect-box\"><iframe data-lazy-priority=\"low\" data-lazy-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/DsmjKEFwUms\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Slavov began working with Larian on Divinity: Original Sin 2 after the <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pcgamer.com\/games\/forever-cherished-for-who-you-were-and-what-you-helped-achieve-10-years-after-his-death-larian-studios-pays-tribute-to-composer-kirill-pokrovsky\/\">unexpected death of Kirill Pokrovsky<\/a>, the composer on every Divinity game through Original Sin, in 2015.
