Our Harvey Randall has traditionally served as our chief chronicler of that community&#8217;s beautiful, baffling <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pcgamer.com\/games\/action\/the-silksong-subreddit-is-conducting-elaborate-ritual-ban-sacrifices-in-an-attempt-to-cure-silksanity-and-secure-the-games-release\/\" target=\"_blank\">collective derangement<\/a>, but sadly the UK writers are off the clock\u2014and we&#8217;d be remiss not to honor the six consecutive years of torment by taking the launch day temperature at the hotbed of Silksanity.<\/p>\n<p>Surely everyone&#8217;s being very normal, right? Right? Hello?<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"reddit-card\" ><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/Silksong\/comments\/1n89ek1\/unsongs_your_silk\">Unsongs your silk<\/a> from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/Silksong\">r\/Silksong<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/embed.redditmedia.com\/widgets\/platform.js\" charset=\"UTF-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Well, it was a nice thought.<\/p>\n<p>As launch time approached, the Silksong subreddit dipped into <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/Silksong\/comments\/1n89ek1\/unsongs_your_silk\/\" target=\"_blank\">one last bout of wanton cruelty<\/a>, with one user declaring they were casting their fellows back to the year 2019 so they could endure the wait for Silksong all over again. Others decided that the trio of hateful blob guys Steam throws at you whenever it&#8217;s having a breakdown are, in fact, <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/Silksong\/comments\/1n8bncr\/struggling_with_this_boss_anyone_have_any_tips\/\">the first boss of Silksong<\/a>, with the replies demanding nerfs and sharing strategies for getting past the &#8220;cart phase.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Those who managed to successfully buy and launch the game, however, soon found a new public enemy number one: <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/Silksong\/comments\/1n8gr9l\/team_cherry_you_cant_be_serious_with_this_hole\/\">A terrible, terrible hole.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>After climbing out of the game&#8217;s initial tutorial area, Silksong presents a tempting gap you can drop into.
