The Groove Layer<\/strong> is the thirteeneth layer and it\u2019s where you\u2019ll restore the groove to Donkey Kong Bananza<\/a><\/em><\/em><\/p>\n

As you\u2019re bringing music back to the disco hall, you\u2019ll find that a lot of Banandium Gems<\/strong> are very well hidden. You\u2019ll need to utilize the Swap Harp to change rubber to gold and vice versa to collect a decent chunk of these bananas. However, as Donkey Kong is bigger, faster, and stronger too, you\u2019ll be able to collect all of the Banandium Gems in no time!<\/p>\n

Below, we list where to find all of the Banandium Gems in the Groove Layer<\/strong> we\u2019ve found so far in Donkey Kong Bananza<\/em>. We\u2019re still updating this guide with more golden bananas as we find them.<\/p>\n

\n

Sublayer 1300 Banandium Gems<\/h2>\n

We\u2019ve found 26 Banandium Gems<\/strong> in Sublayer 1300 in the Groove Layer.<\/p>\n

Before you start, a lot of the bananas in the Groove Layer are easier to find and collect after you\u2019ve beaten the layer\u2019s boss. You\u2019ll regain your Bananza powers<\/a>, allowing you to utilize your elephant form\u2019s suction and chunk abilities and your snake form\u2019s charge jump ability. These abilities will allow you to bypass a lot of the swapping that you\u2019ll need to do. Additionally, a large hole will appear in the location where the triangular speaker was, so you don\u2019t need to break through the floor.<\/p>\n

#1: The Secret in the Solitary<\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Return to the jail after you\u2019ve restored the bass source in the main story, and pay 500 gold to the Constructone to build a Swap Harp. Change your jail cell\u2019s door to gold and break it. To pass over the concrete wall, use a chunk of gold as well. Now, go back and use the harp again to turn all of the gold into rubber. Continue down the hallway into the room with the rubber bananas, and dive punch on top of the largest bananas to reach the ceiling. From there, you just need to make your way to the banana.<\/p>\n

#2:Deep under Detention<\/h3>\n

\"\" \"\" <\/div>\n<\/div>\n

After you\u2019ve restored the bass source, head to the Disco Hall and pay the Constructone 500 gold to install a Swap Harp. Use the harp to change the rubber portion of the ground around the large triangle speaker into gold and break it. There is a barrel in this lower segment. Use it to return to the Disco Hall, where you want to activate the harp once again. Now, go back to the lower level you just accessed and break the ground below the barrel. Start digging the tunnel in front of you, but be careful with the hidden explosives. At the end, you will find a banana.<\/p>\n

#3: Banana behind Bars<\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Grab a gold chunk on the top floor of the jail and drop down to the second level. Throw it at the concrete bars and head inside to grab the banana.<\/p>\n

#4: A Square-Shaped Secret<\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

This banana is only available after you\u2019ve completed the bass source portion of the Groove Layer and constructed a Swap Harp in the jail.<\/p>\n

Return to the jail and jump up to the second floor using the rubber Fractone. Make your way to the next floor and find the cell with the gold Fractone. Grab a chunk of gold and drop down to the second level to destroy the concrete jail door where you find Banandium Gem #3. Drop drop to the lowest floor and hit the Swap Harp to turn the rubber into gold. Grab a chunk of the gold Fractone and wait for it to regenerate. Chunk jump to the next floor using the gold Fractone as a stepping stone and head inside the jail cell. Destroy the gold Fractone inside to find a hidden room with a banana.<\/p>\n

#5: Smash and Receive<\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

This banana is only available after you\u2019ve completed the bass source portion of the Groove Layer and constructed a Swap Harp in the jail.<\/p>\n

You\u2019ll find this banana is a hidden room in one of the cells on the second floor. Make your way up to the second floor to find a Constructone locked inside a cell. To your right, you\u2019ll find a gold Fractone. Take a chunk of the Fractone and throw it at the Swap Harp to turn the rubber door into gold. Once inside the cell, you will find a message board. Smash it to find the entrance to the hidden room where this banana is located.<\/p>\n

#6: Gettin\u2019 Down in the Groove Layer!<\/h3>\n

This banana is found as progress through the story and exit the jail.<\/p>\n

#7: Over the Disco<\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

After you’ve restored the bass source, return to the Disco Hall tuning fork and walk down the ramp to find a rubber Fractone. If the Fractone is made out of gold, talk to the Constructone beside it and build a Swap Harp for 500 gold.<\/p>\n

Use the rubber Fractone as a bounce pad and dive punch your way up to the banana on top of the disco ball. If you’re having a hard time reaching the top, make sure to hold down the A button to reach higher elevation.<\/p>\n

#8: Bouncy Brainteaser<\/h3>\n

\"\" \"\" <\/div>\n<\/div>\n

After you’ve restored the bass source, return to the Disco Hall tuning fork. Turn to the left and head up the stairs to find a blocked off doorway with a Fractone and rubber pillar behind it. If the barrier is rubber, talk to the Constructone in the center of the room and pay 500 gold to build a Swap Harp. Switch the material to gold and destroy the door.<\/p>\n

Hit the Swap Harp in the hallway to swap the large pillar behind the Fractone to gold. Break off a chunk of it and drop it onto the floor by pressing the L button. Hit the Swap Harp again to change the pillar back to rubber and head back into the room. Use the now rubber chunk on the floor as a jump pad to reach the top of the pillar and bounce your way to the banana.<\/p>\n

#9: ???<\/h3>\n

This Banandium Gem isn\u2019t available on your first visit to the Groove Layer. We believe that you\u2019ll need to return after you\u2019ve progressed further or after you\u2019ve beaten the main story of Donkey Kong Bananza<\/em>.<\/p>\n

#10: Destined for the Top<\/h3>\n

\"\" \"\" <\/div>\n<\/div>\n

After you’ve restored the bass source, return to the Disco Hall tuning fork. Walk down the ramp and immediately turn to the right to find the entrance to a challenge course sealed off. If the barrier is gold you can break your way through, but if it’s rubber, speak to the Constructone in front of the doorway to build a Swap Harp for 500 gold. Hit the Swap Harp to turn the rubber into gold and head inside the challenge.<\/p>\n

This banana can be found about halfway through the course.<\/p>\n

#11: Liftoff to the Top<\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

This banana is found at the end of the challenge course.<\/p>\n

#12: A Groovy Disco-very<\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

At the very top of the challenge course, you’ll find a huge disco ball above the exit barrel and a patch of liftoff ore beside a Swap Harp. Swap the liftoff ore to mud and place a chunk of it behind the exit barrel. Swap the mud back to liftoff ore and ride the liftoff ore to the top of the disco ball. Smash your way through to find a banana hidden inside.<\/p>\n

#13: Cranky\u2019s Groove Rant<\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Back in the Disco Hall, take the path above the challenge course to find a Fractone that’ll transform into a steel cube in front of the door to the VIP room. Before the Fractone can transform, throw a chunk at the Fractone to destroy it \u2014 opening the door behind it in the process. Head inside to find Cranky Kong and listen to his spiel to get a banana.<\/p>\n

#14: Banana Chandelier<\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

After you’ve entered the VIP room, look up to the ceiling to find a chandelier made out of a Banandium Gem. You’ll also notice a gold Fractone in the room that will swap to a rubber Fractone if you hit a Swap Harp. Do just that and jump off the rubber Fractone to reach the banana.<\/p>\n

#15: Groove Smashin\u2019 Stats<\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Beside the entrance to the Disco Getaway, you’ll find Smashintone, who’ll give you a banana after you’ve smashed 3,000 cubic meters of concrete.<\/p>\n

#17: Disco-Ball Destruction<\/h3>\n

This banana is only available after you\u2019ve restored the bass source as part of the main story.<\/p>\n

In the VIP room, speak to the Fractone to hear about his brother that is stuck in jail. Return to the jail, and head up to the top floor to find a Fractone locked in a cell. Free them by swapping the cell door to gold and breaking the door. Return to the older brother in the VIP room, and they’ll unlock the terrace. Jump into the cannon and fire yourself at the disco ball to find a banana hidden inside.<\/p>\n

#18: Behind the Disco\u2019s Wall<\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

From the Disco Hall tuning fork, go ahead to the room with the triangular speaker. Follow the wall to your left and drop down a couple of steps, use your Hand Slap sonar to find this Banandium Gem hidden behind the wall. Punch a hole through the wall and create a pathway to the banana.<\/p>\n

#19: The Funky Beat is Back<\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

After you complete the leftmost path of the main story and dig a tunnel back to the central room, you\u2019ll find this banana ahead of you.<\/p>\n

#20: Rising Bass Line<\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

After you enter the hallway leading to the bass disc, you’ll find a patch of soft dirt that looks like gravel. Break the dirt to find a rubber bounce pad underneath. Dive punch the rubber and hold A to reach the higher floor where a banana is hanging from the ceiling.<\/p>\n

#21: Beat the Concrete<\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

After you unlock the bass disc, and start digging a tunnel towards the central room, you\u2019ll find a large rotating concrete pillar. Use a chunk of gold to destroy it to find this banana.<\/p>\n

#22: The Groovy Bass is Back<\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Guide the bass sound all the way through the tunnel to the giant triangular speaker to receive this banana as a reward.<\/p>\n

#23: Lofty Melody<\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

When going after the third music source, there will be two Void-face walls to your right in the corridor. Behind the second one, there’s a room with the banana on top of a higher platform. If you enter the room, a gold platform will rise up from the ground, but do not immediately break it! Hit a Swap Harp to turn the gold into rubber and bounce off of it to reach the banana.<\/p>\n

#24: A Gift from a Fan<\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

As your digging the tunnel after releasing the melody disc, you’ll find this banana under a Fractone that points downwards. This Fractone will quickly swap its direction as you’re approaching, so make sure you’re watching closely!<\/p>\n

If you’re having a hard time finding the Fractone, they can be found behind the large wall of rubber that you must swap to gold with the Swap Harp.<\/p>\n

#25: The Catchy Melody is Back<\/h3>\n

This banana is waiting for you in the main hall after you\u2019ve dug your way back from the melody disc.<\/p>\n

#26: Battle: Opposite Obliteration<\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

After you’ve restored the bass source, turn the floor around the large triangular speaker to gold. Break your way down to find a battle challenge blocked by rubber. Return up to the previous floor and hit a Swap Harp to turn the rubber into gold. Head back down and smash your way into the challenge to find two crockoids. When the crockoids are covered in black metal, they’re indestructible, so make sure to swap their material using the Swap Harp.<\/p>\n

#27: Battle: Cliff-Wall Ambush<\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

After you’ve restored the bass source in the Groove Layer, break the gold below the triangular speaker in the middle of the large room. Below, you’ll find a Constructone who will remove the rubble blocking a battle challenge for 600 gold. Inside, you’ll need to climb the wall and find the four hidden wallopoids. We recommend punching away as you climb to quickly defeat any hidden enemies.<\/p>\n
