Fighting appears to be breaking out across air, sea, and land, with the Brooklyn Bridge in particular sustaining heavy fire. Like previously revealed concept art for <em>Battlefield 6<\/em>, the imagery shows a modern combat setting.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">Some players have been playtesting <em>Battlefield 6<\/em> this year, and alpha footage of the game has sneaked out of those tests. DICE and EA have also publicly detailed in-development changes to Battlefield gameplay through <a href=\"https:\/\/www.polygon.com\/news\/518268\/battlefield-labs-ea-discord-alpha-sign-up\">Battlefield Labs<\/a>, which has been described as EA\u2019s \u201cmost ambitious community development collaboration ever.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">EA and DICE have been testing \u201cthe pillars of play, like core combat and destruction\u201d and gathering feedback on weapons, vehicles and gadgets through Battlefield Labs. EA and DICE have set expectations to changes to Battlefield\u2019s class system, which will feature both predefined aspects (signature weapons, traits, and gadgets) and customizable aspects (weapon loadouts, throwables, non-signature gadgets). Expect changes to destruction and movement and gunplay handling as well.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\"><em>Battlefield 6<\/em> was first announced as in-development in an oblique way as far back as 2022, when EA announced it was \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.polygon.com\/23067445\/battlefield-2042-launch-ea-scores-sales-delayed-updates-season\">rethinking the development process from the ground up<\/a>\u201d for Battlefield. In the wake of the poorly received <em>Battlefield 2042<\/em>, which over time was assessed more positively, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.polygon.com\/22814230\/battlefield-2042-ea-dice-vince-zampella-connected-universe\">EA put Respawn Entertainment co-founder Vince Zampella in charge of the franchise<\/a>.
