Acquiring them is part of the gameplay loop, if you plan making the perfect mecha. Our <em>Mecha Break<\/em> guide will help you not only understand <strong>how mods work, but how to get them<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How mods work in Mecha Break<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/arcader.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/how-to-get-mods-in-mecha-break-1.jpg\" alt=\"A Mecha Break screenshot showing the mod meny and all the stats of a mecha\" title=\"A Mecha Break screenshot showing the mod meny and all the stats of a mecha\" data-has-syndication-rights=\"1\" data-caption=\"\" data-portal-copyright=\"Image: Amazing Seasun Games via Polygon\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">In <em>Mecha Break<\/em>, mods are <strong>special items that you can equip to your Striker to alter the machine\u2019s attributes. <\/strong>While mods are a central aspect in the game, you should keep in mind that mod effects only work in the <strong>Mashmak mode<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">Equipping a mod, which you can do in the \u201cMods\u201d tab in the \u201cOperation Storm\u201d menu, always<strong> increases an attribute of the mecha while reducing another<\/strong>. For example, a mod can reduce energy consumption of your Striker, but it will also increase the amount of energy you spend to jump from the ground.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/arcader.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/how-to-get-mods-in-mecha-break-2.jpg\" alt=\"A Mecha Break screenshot showing the Mods menu and the five sections where you can add mods to.\" title=\"A Mecha Break screenshot showing the Mods menu and the five sections where you can add mods to.\" data-has-syndication-rights=\"1\" data-caption=\"\" data-portal-copyright=\"Image: Amazing Seasun Games via Polygon\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">There are five types of mods: Corixium Cascade Engine, Carbotanium Skeleton, Propulsion System, Corixium Muscle, and Mindbridge Cockpit, each corresponding to specific part of the Striker. <strong>You can equip up to three mods<\/strong> to each part.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">Mods are available in four tiers of rarity (Fine, Superb, Rare, and Flawless). You can either participate in <strong>extraction missions in the Mashmak mode <\/strong>or <strong>spend low-tier mods to create higher-tier ones<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\"><strong>\u201cOperation Storm\u201d <\/strong>is the extraction mode in<em> Mecha Break<\/em>, also called Mashmak mode. When running these missions, you need to fight enemies, who will drop <strong>Mod Boxes<\/strong> most of the time. After defeating them, you can loot the remains of their robotic body to grab these crates.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/arcader.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/how-to-get-mods-in-mecha-break-4.jpg\" alt=\"A Mecha Break screenshot showing a mecha looting items from a destroyed cannon. \" title=\"A Mecha Break screenshot showing a mecha looting items from a destroyed cannon. \" data-has-syndication-rights=\"1\" data-caption=\"\" data-portal-copyright=\"Image: Amazing Seasun Games via Polygon\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">However, looting is only part of the process. You need to survive and leave the operation by using one of the <strong>Extraction Points<\/strong> to actually get the items you looted. Once you exited the mission, you can access the <strong>\u201cInventory\u201d <\/strong>tab to open your boxes. For example, if you have 10 Rare mods, you can create one Flawless mod.
