When FromSoftware revealed the Revenant<\/a> class in Elden Ring Nightreign<\/a><\/em>, I was certain she\u2019d be embraced by fans for her doll-like design, unique power set, and bare feet. But Nightreign<\/em> players have latched onto the necromancer for other reasons entirely, transforming her into a rabid attack dog who wields colossal weapons and is ready and willing to destroy anything in her path \u2014\u00a0including her Nightfarer friends<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Elden Ring Nightreign<\/em> players have dubbed this interpretation of the Revenant \u201cLa Creatura,\u201d repurposing previously existing (and far less savory) memes to give the class a new identity: that of a feral gremlin.<\/p>\n

In game, the Revenant is presented as a dreamy blue-eyed maiden with porcelain skin and white hair who wears a crown of flowers and plays a magical lyre. But as Nightreign<\/em> players recognized that the Revenant\u2019s high faith stat aligned with some of the game\u2019s colossal weapons (e.g., Envoy\u2019s Greathorn, Troll\u2019s Hammer), and that her diminutive size when paired with a giant stone hammer was hilarious, a meme was born.<\/p>\n

It also helps that the Revenant is prickly as hell. Her limited in-game dialogue is full of quiet rage. She radiates bloodlust and revenge, and seems disgusted by your presence. And she\u2019ll revive a near-death Nightfarer<\/a> with a Giant-Crusher, no questions asked.<\/p>\n

Now we have La Creatura, a being who has spawned dozens of fan art interpretations and cemented the Revenant Nightfarer class as Elden Ring Nightreign<\/em>\u2019s best meme. Here are some of the highlights.<\/p>\n
