Amy Lee is having a big year. First, Evanescence\u2019s \u201cBring Me To Life\u201d became a running bit in HBO\u2019s The Rehearsal<\/em> after Nathan Fielder hypothesized that an airplane pilot may have listened to the iconic 2003 rock song while pulling off a tricky landing. Now the song is front and center in FromSoftware\u2019s new trailer for Elden Ring Nightreign<\/a><\/em>, the upcoming co-op action game with a Fortnite<\/em> twist. The combo is as dramatic as it is perfect.<\/p>\n

The defibrillating chorus kicks in right when Nightreign<\/em>\u2019s new class, the Revenant, shows off her summoning powers. As players of the original open-world game might notice, the Revenant looks a lot like the dolls in Elden Ring<\/em>, which are used to bind spirits into the mortal world. Fittingly, the Revenant is powered with a move set consisting of necromancy and death-defying support spells. The Revenant can temporarily make her allies immortal as well as revive characters who are nearly dead. She\u2019s also showing feet, because of course she is. <\/p>\n

In our February preview of the game<\/a>, we noted that Nightreign<\/em> takes the bones of Elden Ring<\/em> and fleshes them out in a more fast-paced arena. Like the original game, much of Nightreign<\/em> revolves around fearsome bosses who are difficult to kill. This time, though, players team up with two other people and are dropped into a randomly generated map. Players must then scavenge their surroundings while avoiding a miasmic storm haze that slowly forces everyone into an area where a baddie will spawn. There\u2019s a lot of sprinting and split-second decisions to be made, as players won\u2019t have time to kill or collect everything.<\/p>\n

Elden Ring Nightreign<\/em> will be released on May 30. If the prospect of \u201cBring Me To Life\u201d strikes you as too cringe, you can take refuge in the normie-approved launch trailer instead:<\/p>\n
