As part of patch 7.25, FFXIV<\/a><\/em> players can explore the Occult Crescent<\/a><\/strong>, learning about the ruins and creatures that roam the area. As part of the questline for the area, you\u2019ll actually have to seek out specific survey points<\/strong>, glowing bits on the map you can interact with.<\/p>\n

You will need to find the quest-related survey points if you want to participate in the 48-person dungeon \u201cThe Forked Towers,\u201d as it won\u2019t unlock until you finish the quest \u201cPast and Crescent.\u201d<\/p>\n

Below, you can see a map of the survey points that you can find glowing around the map in FFXIV<\/em>\u2019s Occult Crescent.<\/p>\n

Note that there is an additional survey point that you get in the Phantom Village on the west side up the stairs, so it\u2019s not on our map of the South Horn.<\/p>\n

The numbered survey points are required for these quests respectively:<\/p>\n

  1. \u201cA Ruined Land\u201d<\/li>\n
  2. \u201cCommon Thread\u201d <\/li>\n
  3. \u201cPast and Crescent\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Survey points only make up a part of the occult records you have in your little booklet. The others can be obtained via completing critical encounters and quests.<\/p>\n
