The studio has revealed what players can look forward to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.polygon.com\/videos\/563876\/avowed-dawntreader-matt-mercer-quest-lore-system\">in the Living Lands<\/a> with the release of the May 2025 1.4 update and what&#8217;s coming next.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">Much of the new content deals with quality-of-life efforts and a focus on implementing more content for those who have completed their adventure.According to the company&#8217;s statement regarding the new content, the improvements were greatly influenced by the <em>Avowed<\/em> community&#8217;s &#8220;continued reports, feedback, and suggestions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">Check out the big plans Obsidian has planned for <em>Avowed<\/em> below.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/arcader.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/big-avowed-updates-will-be-ready-for-you-when-youre-done-with-oblivion-and-clair-obscur.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" data-has-syndication-rights=\"1\" data-caption=\"\" data-portal-copyright=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">May 2025<\/h2>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">The 1.4 update rolled out on Friday, May 15, and focused on<strong> fog of war<\/strong> improvements, <strong>map exploration<\/strong>, increased <strong>gold<\/strong> <strong>and<\/strong> <strong>crafting<\/strong> materials, <strong>soul pods<\/strong>, and <strong>unique gear<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">Additionally, Obsidian added <strong>keyboard and mouse<\/strong> support for Xbox players, new optional settings for chests to appear on the minimap, <strong>power attacks<\/strong> for the bow and arquebus, and even an <strong>arachnophobia mode<\/strong> that replaces the sinister and petrifying spiders with &#8220;floating orbs that still pack a punch.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">But that&#8217;s not all; Obsidian tackled more bugs, crashes, glitches, and exploits in the new update, the full details of which can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/forums.obsidian.net\/topic\/134717-patch-14-notes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Summer 2025<\/h2>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">An update planned for the upcoming hot summer months will improve <strong>cooking and crafting<\/strong>, piggybacking off the 1.3.1 update. The summer patch will also bring new <strong>NPC<\/strong> <strong>behaviors and abilities<\/strong>, <strong>active and passive abilities<\/strong>, <strong>unique weapons and armor<\/strong>, and <strong>custom map markers<\/strong> for exploration.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fall 2025<\/h2>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">This fall, the <em>Avowed<\/em> community will be finally treated to a new game plus feature, breathing a second life into the action RPG title.
