Rockstar Games revealed a new look at Grand Theft Auto 6<\/a><\/em> on Tuesday with the highly anticipated game\u2019s second trailer. It\u2019s our first new look at GTA 6<\/em> in nearly a year and a half<\/a>, and it reaffirms Rockstar\u2019s commitment to launching its grand, open-world crime adventure \u2026 eventually, in 2026<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Grand Theft Auto 6<\/em> is the first brand-new GTA game in more than a decade, and expectations for it are high \u2014 the game\u2019s predecessor, Grand Theft Auto 5<\/a><\/em>, has sold more than 200 million copies since its debut on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2013. The sixth mainline game in Rockstar\u2019s 27-year-old franchise takes the series back to Vice City, in the fictional state of Leonida, where dual protagonists Jason and Lucia seek a better life.<\/p>\n

This second trailer gives us a glimpse of what that life might look like; it starts with Jason getting in his car to pick up Lucia from prison. The following series of shots in the trailer don\u2019t make it entirely clear as to whether Jason and Lucia\u2019s crime-filled shenanigans happened prior<\/em> to Lucia\u2019s prison stint, or afterwards \u2014 maybe she got right back into the crime life as soon as she got out? This is a GTA game, so we can only assume there will be some crimes to commit.<\/p>\n

GTA 6 takes place in the modern day, not the stylized \u201980s version of Vice City explored in previous Grand Theft Auto games. That said, the trailer includes some throwback \u201980s music anyway.<\/p>\n
