Those making headway into the puzzle game Blue Prince<\/a><\/em> might be wondering how many in-game days you need to roll credits \u2014 and if it\u2019s possible to finish the game in a single day.<\/p>\n

In Blue Prince<\/em>, you explore and construct a sprawling mansion estate room by room using a series of randomized blueprints. There\u2019s a roguelike element, too: The house\u2019s floor plan resets every day (or run). Gradually, you piece together information and items from various rooms to solve puzzles. <\/p>\n

You don\u2019t know which rooms you you\u2019ll be able to draft each day, and each player’s game experience can vary greatly. Because of this, the number of days it takes to beat the game and roll credits varies. To figure out how long it takes to beat Blue Prince<\/em>, we polled Polygon writers so you can get an idea of <\/strong>how many days it takes to beat Blue Prince<\/em>, and get into the matter of if it\u2019s possible to beat Blue Prince<\/em> in one day.<\/p>\n

How many days it normally takes to beat Blue Prince<\/h2>\n

For those who just want the answer, we polled our team, and it takes around 30 days<\/strong> (in-game) to find the secret Room 46<\/a> and officially \u201cbeat\u201d Blue Prince<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The vast majority of writers we spoke to hit credits around 30 days into the game. However, there is an element of randomness to the rooms you get, so playthroughs can vary. One writer took around 80 days to beat the game, just because they didn\u2019t get another opportunity to draft the proper rooms to reach the Antechamber<\/a>. For me personally, I got sidetracked by solving another puzzle, so I hit credits on day 39 when I suddenly realized I could just\u2026 finish the game.<\/p>\n

If you are reading this, are well past 30 days, and haven\u2019t rolled credits, don\u2019t worry. The game doesn\u2019t punish you if you take longer to beat it (and I would argue the atmospheric nature of the game is best enjoyed when you take your time). Just interpret this number as a reference point for what is theoretically possible to complete in a certain number of days.<\/p>\n

Additionally, there is much to do in Blue Prince<\/em> after rolling credits \u2014 lots of puzzles to solve and rooms to explore. You need a lot of time to experience all there is to see in this game, so don\u2019t up and leave after you roll credits \u2014 grab a notebook<\/a> and dive in!<\/p>\n
