It\u2019ll be featured during a Max Battle Weekend event, running from <strong>April 26 at 6 a.m. until April 27 at 9 p.m.<\/strong> in your local time.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">During this event, you\u2019ll be able to claim more Max Particles each day (up to 1,600 from 800), you\u2019ll get more Max Particles from Power Spots, the amount you have to walk to get particles will be cut down to 1\/4, and Power Spots will refresh more often.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">From April 21 until the Max Battle Weekend ends, the particle cost to power up Max Moves has also been cut to 3\/4 the usual amount, so it\u2019s a great time to build some counters.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">Below, we list out some general <a href=\"https:\/\/www.polygon.com\/pokemon-go-guide\/458543\/max-battle-schedule-dynamax\">Max Battle<\/a> tips and counters for Dynamax Entei in\u00a0<em>Pok\u00e9mon Go<\/em>.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-none\" id=\"general-max-battle-tips\">Dynamax Entei weakness<\/h2>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">Entei is a solo fire-type Pok\u00e9mon, so it has quite a few weaknesses: <strong>ground-, rock-, and water-type moves<\/strong>. There are a few Pok\u00e9mon we could use at this point to take it down, which is nice (in comparison to some other big targets we\u2019ve had, that only have one or two viable counters).<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">All of that said, Entei will take less damage from bug-, steel-, fire-, grass-, ice-, and fairy-type moves, so you shouldn\u2019t really use those unless you have to use them to build up your gauge.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-none\" id=\"general-max-battle-tips\">Dynamax Entei best counters<\/h2>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">For attackers, try to bring at least one of the following with its max attack built up:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Gigantamax Kingler<\/strong> with Metal Claw<\/li>\n<li><strong>Dynamax Inteleon <\/strong>with Water Gun<\/li>\n<li><strong>Dynamax Excadrill<\/strong> with Mud Shot<\/li>\n<li><strong>Dynamax Kingler<\/strong> with Bubble<\/li>\n<li><strong>Gigantamax Blastoise<\/strong> with Water Gun<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">This time around, none of Entei\u2019s moves should cause any of these great distress, though you shouldn\u2019t really be using these outside of the Dynamax\/Gigantamax phase to dish damage.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">For tanks, you\u2019ll want to bring one or two of the following with Max Guard\/Spirit leveled up:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Dynamax Blissey<\/strong> with Pound<\/li>\n<li><strong>Dynamax\/Gigantamax Blastoise<\/strong> with Water Gun<\/li>\n<li><strong>Gigantamax Snorlax<\/strong> with Lick<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">Notably there is a <strong>Timed Research set that rewards you with a Dynamax Sobble encounter<\/strong>, Sobble Candy, and tons of particles to help you get an Inteleon, if you want. Note that Inteleon <em>will<\/em> get a Gigantamax form down the line, so I only recommend investing in this if you have tons of Sobble Candy to spare.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">Ultimately, as usual, just bring the strongest Pok\u00e9mon that you have to help contribute to the group. If you only have a Dynamax Sobble as a type-based counter, but you have a build Dynamax Gengar, you should just bring the Gengar.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-none\" id=\"general-max-battle-tips\">General Max Battle Tips<\/h2>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">If you\u2019ve been struggling in Max Battles, here are some general tips to survive \u2014 and make sure you\u2019re an asset to your team. While Gigantamax Battles are tough, a Legendary Max Battle shouldn\u2019t be&nbsp;<em>as<\/em>&nbsp;tough as that. You can slack a&nbsp;<em>little<\/em>, but you should still heed our advice:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Make sure you have enough players.<\/strong>\u00a0High-efficiency players with maxed out investments will likely be able to solo Entei, but this isn\u2019t going to be realistic for most people. Try to go at it with three other players for the highest chance of winning. Note that unlike Gigantamax Pok\u00e9mon, the Dynamax Legendary Pok\u00e9mon have a max party size of four (rather than 40).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Don\u2019t sleep on Max Spirit and Max Guard<\/strong>. Teams work best when there\u2019s a variety of moves, not just maxed-out attacks. Each player should bring Pok\u00e9mon with the defensive and healing moves unlocked as well. Max Guard will focus single-target damage towards you and reduce the damage taken and Max Spirit will heal the whole party, so these moves are really important to make sure your damage-dealers can keep dishing.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Remember to swap to super effective moves when it\u2019s time to Dynamax<\/strong>. For&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.polygon.com\/pokemon-go-guide\/449273\/dynamax-pokemon-get-catch-max-battles\">Dynamax Pok\u00e9mon<\/a>, their max moves are determined by whatever type their fast move is. This means if you have a Cryogonal with Frost Breath, it will know Max Hailstorm. A Gengar with Lick will know Max Phantasm. Take advantage of this and make sure to swap to a Pok\u00e9mon that will deal super effective damage to your target before Dynamaxing, if you can.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Focus on your fast moves<\/strong>. You want to spam your fast moves to build up that Dynamax meter and often times, using your charge move is actually a DPS loss when compared to the damage you could be doing with your max move will be. Spam those attacks!<\/li>\n<li><strong>Level up a few \u2018mons, but you don\u2019t have to go too hard<\/strong>. Depending on your group size, you absolutely do not need to max out all your Dynamax Pok\u00e9mon to level 40-50. While this will make it easier on the rest of your group, if this isn\u2019t an investment you can make, you don\u2019t have to stress about it. Power things up as high as you can afford to, but don\u2019t fret if you don\u2019t have a maxed out Pok\u00e9mon.<\/li>\n<li>All that said,&nbsp;<strong>make sure to come as prepared as you can be<\/strong>. This is a team effort and there\u2019s a chance that a full group of four can still fail. Do not just bring your unleveled&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.polygon.com\/pokemon-go-guide\/447546\/to-the-max-special-research-quest-rewards\">Dynamax Wooloo<\/a>&nbsp;expecting a free ride to a powerful Pok\u00e9mon. (After all, if&nbsp;<em>everyone<\/em>&nbsp;does that, then you certainly won\u2019t clear the battle.) Again, you don\u2019t have to completely max out your Pok\u00e9mon, but it will be better for everyone involved if you bring something helpful to the table.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Keep your eye out for a shiny Entei!<\/strong>\u00a0If you clear the raid, there is a chance that the Entei you catch will be shiny \u2014 which also means it\u2019ll be a guaranteed catch.
