The Freezer <\/strong>is a rare room in Blue Prince<\/a><\/em> that freezes your currency, allowing you to carry it over to the next run.<\/p>\n

While your assets are frozen in the Freezer, you\u2019re also unable to pick up any more gems or gold pieces. But there are ways to thaw the Freezer \u2014 and your assets \u2014 exposing deeper secrets and leading you on some new adventures.<\/p>\n

In this Blue Prince<\/em> guide, we\u2019ll show you how to unfreeze items in the Freezer<\/strong>, plus explain the door in the Freezer, and what all you\u2019ll find in there.<\/p>\n

How to melt the ice in the Freezer in Blue Prince<\/h2>\n

\"A<\/p>\n

Once you draft the Freezer, your gold and gems will automatically freeze, meaning you not only can\u2019t spend your existing gold and gems, but you also can\u2019t pick up any you come across in future rooms.<\/p>\n

A little thermometer icon will appear in the bottom right corner of your screen. You\u2019ll also notice several frozen items on the shelves next to you, in addition to a big ice chest ahead, and a frozen door to the left.<\/p>\n

There are two primary ways to unfreeze the items (and the doorway) in the Freezer.<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Use a fire item to melt every chunk of ice in the Freezer<\/strong>. This includes the door, and you can in the Freezer by clicking on them. When you first start the game, you\u2019ll have access to the Burning Glass<\/strong> fire item, which you can craft via the Workshop by combining the Magnifying Glass and the Metal Detector. Alternatively, after you\u2019ve solved the chess puzzle<\/a>, you can select the Knight\u2019s power, which will give you access to the Armory, which sells the Torch<\/strong>. The Torch can do the same things as the Burning Glass, but doesn\u2019t require you to combine multiple items together to make it.<\/li>\n
  2. Heat up the room itself.<\/strong> If you draft a Furnace <\/strong>in relative proximity to the Freezer and then re-enter the Freezer, the temperature will slowly tick up. (According to our testing, column doesn\u2019t have bearing on the outcome, but you\u2019ll need to place both rooms within three ranks of each other.) As the thermometer rises, the ice will start to disappear and you\u2019ll gain access to all the goodies inside. Hanging out in the Furnace or Sauna room for long enough will also unfreeze your assets.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    But that\u2019s not all there is to the Freezer.<\/p>\n

    All Freezer items and clues in Blue Prince<\/h2>\n

    The Freezer contains several currency items \u2014 which can be annoying, given your gold and gems are frozen, but helpful if you decide to heat the room with the Furnace. But the real treasure is in the frozen room and the ice chest.<\/p>\n

    In the ice chest, you\u2019ll find a Prism Key<\/strong>, which is very useful for drafting around the house. But you\u2019ll also find a letter from the Baron<\/strong>. This letter will give you some significant hints for both solving the house\u2019s two picture puzzle<\/a> and<\/em> for how how you should interpret the message you get when you do.<\/p>\n

    Inside the frozen room, you can pick up an Upgrade Disk<\/strong> for any nearby terminals and a letter that will help you figure out the Admin Key<\/strong> you need to get into the terminal in Blackbridge Grotto, one of the estate\u2019s permanent additions<\/a>.<\/p>\n
