Its high defensive stats will make it tough, so make sure to group up with as many players as you possibly can to increase your odds of winning.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">Snorlax will specifically be around on <strong>Gigantamax Snorlax Max Battle Day <\/strong>on <strong>April 19 from 2-5 p.m<\/strong>. in your local time, showing up every 30 minutes or so at Power Spots in your area.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">Below we list Gigantamax Snorlax\u2019s best counters and weaknesses in <em>Pok\u00e9mon Go<\/em>, as well as general battle tips for the lazy fat cat.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-none\" id=\"gigantamax-snorlax-weakness\">Gigantamax Snorlax weakness<\/h2>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">As a normal-type Pok\u00e9mon, Snorlax only has one weakness: <strong>fighting<\/strong>-type moves, which means we only have a few options for super effective attacks, annoyingly enough.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">Since it\u2019s normal-type, Snorlax will resist ghost-type moves, so you definitely don\u2019t want to use those as your attackers in this case.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-none\" id=\"gigantamax-snorlax-best-counters\">Gigantamax Snorlax best counters<\/h2>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">Try to bring at least one of these attackers to deal the most damage:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Dynamax Machamp<\/strong> with Counter<\/li>\n<li><strong>Dynamax Passimian<\/strong> with Counter<\/li>\n<li><strong>Gigantamax Kingler<\/strong> with Metal Claw<\/li>\n<li><strong>Gigantamax Charizard<\/strong> with Dragon Breath<\/li>\n<li><strong>Dynamax Falinks<\/strong> with Counter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">It should be noted that the DPS difference between Machamp and the rest of these Pok\u00e9mon is <em>large<\/em>. It is really annoying to somewhat \u201chave\u201d to level up a Dynamax Machamp when we know that Gigantamax Machamp is on the horizon (as it\u2019s been shown in trailers for this season). That being said, if you do not have the extra Machop resources and you would prefer to save them for Gigantamax Machamp, that is totally cool, just bring one of the other aforementioned choices.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">Notably there is a Timed Research set active right now until the end of the raid day event that rewards you with Machop Candy and a Dynamax Machop to help you get a powered up Machamp! As a reminder, you can also trade Machops with your friends to reduce the cost of evolving Machoke into Machamp (from 100 Machop Candy to zero!), which should help ease the candy requirements for powering up and evolving this thing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">For your tanks, you\u2019ll want to bring one or two of these with leveled up Max Guard to tank damage and build up your gauge:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Dynamax Blissey<\/strong> with Pound<\/li>\n<li><strong>Dynamax Chansey<\/strong> with Pound<\/li>\n<li><strong>Gigantamax\/Dynamax Gengar<\/strong> with Shadow Claw<\/li>\n<li><strong>Gigantamax Lapras<\/strong> with Water Gun<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">Notably you should have Max Spirit (healing) unlocked for your Blissey and Chansey. There is a chance that Snorlax will know Superpower, a fighting-type move that will give Blissey\/Chansey and Lapras a hard time \u2014 in which case you can use your Gengar to charge your meter instead. (Though it\u2019s entirely possible for your very tanky Blissey to just eat the attacks and heal through it.)<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">The ideal strategy would be to bring two Blisseys and a Machamp, have the Blisseys tank and charge the meter, and then swap to Machamp to dish out Max Knuckle damage.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">Even if you don\u2019t have these powered up, consider just bringing the\u00a0<em>strongest<\/em>\u00a0Dynamax or Gigantamax Pok\u00e9mon you have. If you have a maxed out Gigantamax Toxtricity and your Dynamax Machamp isn\u2019t leveled (and you don\u2019t have the means to power it up), just bring your Toxtricity. This one is particularly tough due to the lack of options and the looming fear of power creep due to Gigantamax Machamp\u2019s upcoming introduction.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-none\" id=\"general-gigantamax-snorlax-tips\">General Gigantamax Snorlax tips<\/h2>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">If you\u2019ve been struggling in Max Battles, here\u2019s some general tips to survive \u2014 and make sure you\u2019re an asset to your team. Gigantamax battles involve way more strategy than the usual rampant tapping that you do in raids, so make sure to know what you\u2019re doing before jumping in.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Make sure you have enough players.<\/strong>&nbsp;High-efficiency groups with maxed out investments can take down the Snorlax with fewer people, but practically, if you don\u2019t have hundreds of spare candy and even more Stardust laying around, this isn\u2019t going to be an option for you. Make sure you have as many people as possible to ensure that you get your sleeping road obstacle.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Don\u2019t sleep on Max Spirit and Max Guard<\/strong>. Teams work best when there\u2019s a variety of moves, not just maxed-out attacks. Each player should bring Pok\u00e9mon with the defensive and healing moves unlocked as well. Max Guard will focus single-target damage towards you and reduce the damage taken; Max Spirit will heal the whole party. These moves are really important to make sure your damage-dealers can keep dishing.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Remember to swap to super effective moves when it\u2019s time to Dynamax<\/strong>. For&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.polygon.com\/pokemon-go-guide\/449273\/dynamax-pokemon-get-catch-max-battles\">Dynamax Pok\u00e9mon<\/a>, their max moves are determined by whatever type their fast move is. This means if you have a Darmanitan with Fire Fang, it will know Max Flare. A Gengar with Lick will know Max Phantasm. Take advantage of this and make sure to swap to a Pok\u00e9mon that will deal super effective damage to your target before Dynamaxing, if you can.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Focus on your fast moves<\/strong>. You want to spam your fast moves to build up that Dynamax meter and often times, using your charge move is actually a DPS loss when compared to the damage you could be doing with your max move will be. Spam those attacks!<\/li>\n<li><strong>Level up a few \u2018mons, but you don\u2019t have to go too hard<\/strong>. Depending on your group size, you absolutely do not need to max out all your Dynamax Pok\u00e9mon to level 40-50. While this will make it easier on the rest of your group, if this isn\u2019t an investment you can make, you don\u2019t have to stress about it. Power things up as high as you can afford to, but don\u2019t fret if you don\u2019t have a maxed out Pok\u00e9mon.<\/li>\n<li>That all being said,&nbsp;<strong>make sure to come as prepared as you can be<\/strong>. This is a team effort and there\u2019s a chance that a full group of four can still fail. Do not just bring your unleveled&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.polygon.com\/pokemon-go-guide\/447546\/to-the-max-special-research-quest-rewards\">Dynamax Wooloo<\/a>&nbsp;expecting a free ride to a powerful Pok\u00e9mon. (After all, if&nbsp;<em>everyone<\/em>&nbsp;does that, then you certainly won\u2019t clear the battle.) Again, you don\u2019t have to completely max out your Pok\u00e9mon, but it will be better for everyone involved if you bring something helpful to the table.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Keep your eye out for a shiny Snorlax!<\/strong>&nbsp;If you clear the raid, there is a chance that the Snorlax you catch will be shiny \u2014 which also means it\u2019ll be a guaranteed catch.
