Bad news for everyone hoping to see skins<\/a> from League of Legends<\/a><\/em> television adaptation Arcane<\/a><\/em> return to Fortnite<\/a><\/em>: You\u2019re going to be waiting a long time, if not forever.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve had a lot of conversations with Epic about what might be possible,\u201d League of Legends<\/em> co-creator and Riot Games co-chairman Marc Merrill said<\/a> on X (formerly Twitter) on April 17, responding to what\u2019s apparently been frequent questions about the collaboration. \u201cThey\u2019ve been great partners, but we haven\u2019t been able to find the right fit to bring the Arcane<\/em> skins back and it unfortunately won\u2019t be happening in the foreseeable future.\u201d<\/p>\n

As an update to all of the players that have been pinging us on the Arcane skin status, I wanted to circle back with you all.<\/p>\n

Rewinding back to 2021, when we first teamed up with Epic to bring Jinx and Vi to Fortnite, it was a new kind of crossover for us and we hope it helped\u2026<\/p>\n

Fortnite<\/em> skins based on Jinx and Vi\u2019s appearances in Arcane<\/em> were first added to the game during Chapter 2: Season 8, coinciding with the show\u2019s late 2021 debut on Netflix. As with all of Fortnite<\/em>\u2019s cosmetics, the Arcane<\/em> items were rotated in and out of the in-game shop multiple times before disappearing for good in February 2022. Over the last few years, fans have often asked both Epic and Riot when they would return, supposedly prompting Merrill\u2019s statement today.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen we first teamed up with Epic to bring Jinx and Vi to Fortnite<\/em>, it was a new kind of crossover for us and we hope it helped make [the season one] launch feel truly special,\u201c Merrill said. \u201dWe know there\u2019s been a lot of love for these\u2014and we really appreciate how much you all care and how much effort you\u2019ve put into advocating for their return. If anything changes in the future, we\u2019ll let you know ASAP!\u201d<\/p>\n

Arcane<\/em>\u2019s second and final season<\/a> aired in November 2024. Fortnite<\/em> continues to consume every intellectual property under the sun.<\/p>\n
