Titled <em>Missile Command Delta<\/em>, the new game comes from from 13AM Games and Mighty Yell and looks to be a more elaborate reimagining than we\u2019re used to from Atari\u2019s revivals.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">This isn\u2019t the first time modern Atari has revived the Missile Command series \u2014 back in 2020, it released <a href=\"https:\/\/www.polygon.com\/2020\/3\/3\/21162288\/atari-missile-command-recharged-android-ios\"><em>Missile Command: Recharged<\/em><\/a>, a mobile 2D remake of the classic that made its way to other platforms a couple years later. That came as part of the Recharged series, which has also brought classics like <em>Asteroids<\/em> and <em>Centipede<\/em> back in updated but generally straightforward releases.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\"><em>Delta<\/em>, on the other hand, looks to be a new take on the franchise, with the trailer showing a 3D environments set in an underground bunker, and the player interacting with a hex-based grid. Atari\u2019s official description calls it a \u201cturn-based mystery\u201d and promises \u201ca twisting, narrative thriller\u201d as well as exploration and puzzles.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">Exactly how all that fits together, we don\u2019t know quite yet, but there\u2019s already more going on here than we\u2019re used to from Missile Command.
