Titmouse, Inc., the animation studio behind countless hits mainstream and indie \u2014 from Star Trek: Lower Decks<\/a><\/em> and The Legend of Vox Machina<\/a><\/em> to The Midnight Gospel<\/a><\/em> and Scavengers Reign<\/a><\/em> \u2014 announced a subscription box service during the company\u2019s 25th anniversary panel at SXSW, that will double as an exclusive club for access to original animation.<\/p>\n

The upcoming service is called Churp \u2014 a reference to Titmouse\u2019s production card, which features an animated titmouse<\/a> saying the word \u201cchirp,\u201d usually in the voice of one of the cartoon\u2019s actors \u2014 with monthly boxes containing merch, collectibles, and paraphernalia of Titmouse characters old and new, and a code to watch a new, Churp-exclusive cartoon. <\/p>\n

The tagline on Churp.tv<\/a> is \u201ccartoon delivery service.\u201d Said Titmouse president Chris Prynoski, in a news release, \u201cIt\u2019s like Sanrio for stoners.\u201d The same Titmouse news release calls Churp an \u201cIP incubator and creative playground,\u201d calling to mind the heyday of Frederator Studios\u2019 YouTube operations<\/a>, or Cartoon Network\u2019s Cartoon Cartoon era.<\/p>\n

Churp will have several new cartoons available to subscribers at launch, according to the news release. There\u2019s The Mitch Owl Show<\/em> from the creator of Metalocalypse<\/em>, in which a \u201cbright-eyed Hollywood hopeful learns the horror of working directly for an A-list celebrity\u201d; A Million Dollar Idea<\/em>, created by writer Sam L. Kim (The Colbert Report<\/em>), \u201cthe story of the world\u2019s biggest entrepreneur, who happens to live in his car\u201d; and How Can It Be a Do?<\/em>, a \u201cpitch-perfect parody of early 2000s industrial cable network documentary series.\u201d<\/p>\n

But the headliner is probably the star-studded Bruddies<\/em>, a \u201cbloodbath action-comedy about two best friends\u201d created by Ben Falcone (Tammy<\/em>) and Chris Henchy (Step Brothers<\/em>). The voice cast boasts Melissa McCarthy (Bridesmaids<\/em>), Elizabeth Banks (The Hunger Games<\/em>), Joel McHale (Community<\/em>), Octavia Spencer (Hidden Figures<\/em>), and George Takei (Star Trek<\/em>). <\/p>\n

Titmouse has not revealed any pricing information as of yet, but interested fans can sign up for updates at Churp.tv<\/a>. <\/p>\n
