It\u2019s perfect for people like me \u2014 who can\u2019t design a character<\/a> to save my life \u2014 or for those who want to load a different kind of template character to edit to their liking. <\/p>\n

Taking the time to make sure you design a Monster Hunter Wilds <\/em>character you like is well worth it. Once you start a new save file, you won\u2019t be able to access the full character editor<\/a> again \u2014 unless you use a limited item called a character edit voucher.<\/p>\n

This guide will show the best design codes<\/strong> we\u2019ve found so far, and how to enter character creator codes<\/strong> for the character editor in Monster Hunter Wilds<\/em>. We also collected some cool character designs we saw online.<\/p>\n

How to enter character creator codes in Monster Hunter Wilds<\/h2>\n

Start a new game or use a character edit voucher<\/strong> to enter the full character editor in Monster Hunter Wilds<\/em>. Once you are in the character creator, tab to the icon in the menu that looks like a little notepad labeled \u201cDesign\u201d and select the option \u201cDownload Design.\u201d <\/p>\n

This prompts the pop-up window that allows you to enter the character editor. Now, all you have to do is enter the code. Each code is case-sensitive and uses a string of 12 numbers and letters.<\/p>\n

The game will automatically load up the character design associated with the code and give you a couple of options. Select the \u201cSave Design\u201d option if you would like to store this design; it will live under the \u201cSave\/Load\u201d menu nestled under the \u201cDesign\u201d menu. Otherwise, you can just click \u201cChange Appearance\u201d and your hunter will have its new pre-loaded look.<\/p>\n

From there, you are free to use the character as is, or you can continue to edit the design to your liking.<\/p>\n

How to make character creator codes in Monster Hunter Wilds<\/h2>\n

Uploading a character design and creating a code is a bit more complicated than the menus make it seem. Before you go on, make sure you have at least have one character edit voucher<\/strong> before you begin. Every player gets one free voucher for the character editor at launch, and additional vouchers are sold for as paid add-ons. You won\u2019t need to use it, but it basically works like a key that allows you to upload your design. (This is because the game doesn\u2019t allow you to upload a design for a character with no save data.)<\/p>\n

Given all this, here is how Polygon uploaded a character design <\/strong>and created a code<\/strong> to share character in Monster Hunter Wilds<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Go create a cool character that you want to share with other people and start a save file with said character. Once you create a save file, you need to return to the main menu and access the character creator using a character edit voucher. If you need help with that, Polygon has a guide on how to change your hunter appearance<\/a> with vouchers.<\/p>\n

Once you enter the character editor using a voucher, you can now upload a character design. Just tab to the menu labeled \u201cDesign\u201d and select the \u201cSave\/Load\u201d option. Select an open slot and select the option \u201cUpload Design.\u201d This will prompt a window that creates a code that will allow other users to load that character. <\/p>\n

Polygon tested this on PlayStation 5 and we were able to use the voucher to accsess this screen and create a code to share a character. Afterwards, we discarded any changes to the character so we didn\u2019t use the voucher, but we successfully shared a character design in this way. In other words, the voucher allows you to accesss the screen to share your character after you create save data, but you don\u2019t need to use it if you don\u2019t make any changes.<\/p>\n

Best design codes in Monster Hunter Wilds we\u2019ve found so far<\/h2>\n

Players of Monster Hunter Wilds <\/em>have already created an online community dedicated to sharing characters on the subreddit MHSliders<\/a>. If you want a place to browse, that community is a great place to start. However a lot of those creators don\u2019t shared codes. Intead, many people have shared screenshots of all the settings people can use to remake the character. <\/p>\n

This can be helpful if you really want to remake a character that someone else has created, however, it can be super tedious to enter every setting section by section. If you would like some quick and easy codes to load, we got you covered. Here is a short list of some cool character creator codes for Monster Hunter Wilds<\/em>. <\/p>\n
