How to enable or disable crossplay in Monster Hunter Wilds<\/h2>\n

To enable or disable crossplay in Monster Hunter Wilds<\/em>, you\u2019ll need to do the following:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Open the options from the title screen.<\/li>\n
  2. In the \u201cgame settings\u201d tab, scroll down until you get to \u201ccrossplay.\u201d<\/li>\n
  3. Enable or disable it, depending on what you want to do.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Note that this setting is only available from the home menu<\/strong> before<\/em> you start playing the game. While you can open your options after you\u2019ve selected your character, this toggle will not appear.<\/p>\n

    If you\u2019re already playing, there\u2019s a further toggle to disable players from other platforms on a session-by-session basis. You can find this setting if you do the following:<\/p>\n

    1. Enter your tent (at whatever base camp<\/a>, it doesn\u2019t matter).<\/li>\n
    2. Scroll through the menu options until you get to \u201cQuest Menu.\u201d<\/li>\n
    3. Select \u201cPost\/Join Quest.\u201d<\/li>\n
    4. Select \u201cSettings.\u201d<\/li>\n
    5. Scroll down to \u201cPlatform Permissions\u201d and turn on \u201cAll Platforms\u201d if you want crossplay to be on. If you want crossplay turned off, select \u201cYour Platform.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      We were able to access our tent and these settings pretty early in the game, as you\u2019re required to go into your tent during the Chapter 1-2 of the main story<\/a>.<\/p>\n

      Does Monster Hunter Wilds have cross-save or cross-buy?<\/h2>\n

      No, Monster Hunter Wilds<\/em> does not have the ability to transfer progress or game purchases between platforms. In other words, your game is locked to the platform you start it on.<\/p>\n
