Now it seems he&#8217;s just playing with us, as he&#8217;s taken to his X account once more to &#8220;tease&#8221; a 320 GB card called the <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/AzorFrank\/status\/1891124125248164349\" target=\"_blank\">90700.05XTXT Max.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Honestly, given AMD&#8217;s naming schemes at this point, it doesn&#8217;t seem that far out of the realms of possibility. As for the specs, however, the absurdity is pretty clear. A 96-pin power connector? Presumably that&#8217;s nearly as wide as the card itself, and glows under heavy usage. Particularly when paired with a Back to the Future-friendly 1.21 gigawatt power supply.<\/p>\n<div class=\"see-more see-more--clipped\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet hawk-ignore\" data-lang=\"en\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Actually it&#8217;s a 320GB card we are calling the 90700.05XTXT Max<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/cantworkitout\/status\/1891124125248164349\">February 16, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div class=\"see-more__filter\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Still, that 320 GB of delicious memory should stop a certain segment of hardware enthusiasts <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pcgamer.com\/hardware\/graphics-cards\/nvidias-rtx-5070-is-rumoured-for-a-ces-2025-reveal-but-i-kinda-think-people-need-to-calm-down-over-its-unconfirmed-memory-specs\/\" target=\"_blank\">grousing about the lack of VRAM<\/a> on modern cards, shouldn&#8217;t it?<\/p>\n<p>With that sort of overhead, presumably 80K gaming is on the table, to match up with the resolution of your new holoscreen. Which you view from your space-chair, while browsing adverts on your <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pcgamer.com\/hardware\/in-2024-elon-musk-predicted-that-hundreds-of-millions-of-people-will-have-his-brain-chips-within-the-next-20-years-so-dont-forget-to-hold-him-to-it\/\" target=\"_blank\">Neuralink<\/a> and debating who won the climate wars with your <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pcgamer.com\/software\/ai\/new-ai-companion-goes-all-black-mirror-listens-to-absolutely-everything-and-dies-if-you-lose-it\/\" target=\"_blank\">AI life-partner<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Spoilers: It was nobody. Nobody won. Anyhoo, I look forward to seeing this card on our test benches when it eventually arrives. Nothing would please me more than seeing several people wheel a crate into the PC Gamer offices containing AMD&#8217;s latest graphics card, and the joy we would feel at watching the lights dim as we put it through its paces.<\/p>\n<p>The cynic in me might suggest that the reason we&#8217;re seeing so many baseless rumours around the <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pcgamer.com\/hardware\/graphics-cards\/if-the-amd-rx-9070-xt-is-as-beefy-as-these-leaked-specs-and-benchmark-makes-out-low-nvidia-50-series-stocks-might-not-matter\/\" target=\"_blank\">RX 9070-series cards<\/a> is that AMD somewhat <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pcgamer.com\/hardware\/amd-just-gave-us-our-first-look-at-the-radeon-rx-9070-xt-and-rx-9070-rdna-4-gpus-and-i-am-officially-whelmed\/\" target=\"_blank\">whiffed the announcement<\/a>, providing us ravenous tech journos with nothing more than a single slide and very little detail on what to expect when they <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pcgamer.com\/hardware\/graphics-cards\/amd-finally-gives-the-radeon-rx-9070-xt-a-release-date-and-its-roughly-march\/\" target=\"_blank\">arrive next month<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>As a result, you could reasonably post a tweet suggesting the new AMD cards have 2.3 GB of VRAM, 150,000 CUs, and come with a free slice of cheese, and someone would retweet it with the comment &#8220;crazy if true.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Details, AMD. We like details. Thankfully, we will receive some details about the upcoming (real) <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pcgamer.com\/hardware\/graphics-cards\/amd-is-finally-spilling-the-beans-about-the-rx-9070-series-during-a-live-stream-on-february-28\/\" target=\"_blank\">RX 9070-series on February 28<\/a>. Still, it&#8217;s all in good fun, at least.
