The \u201cDyadic Ascension<\/strong>\u201d quest in Destiny 2<\/a><\/em> is how you\u2019ll unlock the upgraded Intrinsic Perks for the craftable Heresy Exotic, the Barrow-Dyad<\/a><\/strong> submachine gun. To unlock these upgrades, however, you\u2019ll need to comb through the Dreadnaught looking for Taken Osseous Fragments <\/strong>in The Nether<\/a> activity.<\/p>\n

If you don\u2019t have access to this quest yet, or the Barrow-Dyad Exotic, make sure you complete \u201cThe Taken Path\u201d quest and the \u201cDerealize\u201d mission. \u201cDyadic Ascension\u201d will be waiting for you at the slab in Eris\u2019 apartment once those are both complete. <\/p>\n

In this Destiny 2<\/em> guide, we\u2019ll walk you through where to find all of the Taken Osseous Fragments<\/strong> in Heresy, as well as what the \u201cMoment of Clarity\u201d quest step refers to.<\/p>\n

\n

Where to find Taken Osseous Fragments in Destiny 2<\/h2>\n

\"A<\/p>\n

Steps 2 and 4 of \u201cDyadic Ascension\u201d ask you to hunt down six and then 12 Taken Osseous Fragments<\/strong> inside the Dreadnaught (these steps are collective, so it\u2019s six per step, not 18 total).<\/p>\n

These are little collectibles, similar to the ones you found during \u201cThe Taken Path,\u201d and they show up on your radar once you\u2019re close to them \u2014 making them easy to spot if you know the general locations, which we\u2019ll give you below. As of this writing, there appear to be 15 of them, five in each of the main Dreadnaught areas.<\/p>\n

Steps 1 and 3 require you to unlock certain perks on the Mastery of Resolve reputation track<\/strong>. Step 1 requires you to hit rank 5 with the Shaping Slab, which will net you the \u201cSteel Your Nerves<\/strong>\u201d perk. Step 3 will ask you to hit almost max rank, rank 9, to get the \u201cUnbreakable Will<\/strong>\u201d perk.<\/p>\n

Rank 5 is extremely quick to hit, and you should be there, or close to there, if you\u2019ve finished the seasonal story thus far. Rank 9 is a bit more of a grind, but you can manage to get it pretty quickly if you play The Nether and get some of the secret chests inside each time.<\/p>\n

Below, we\u2019ll tell you where to find the Taken Osseous Fragments in each of the three main areas. You\u2019ll unlock the Panic Response II<\/strong> and Panic Response III<\/strong> Intrinsic upgrades when you finish steps 2 and 4 respectively.<\/p>\n

Hall of Souls Taken Osseous Fragment locations<\/h3>\n

There are five Taken Osseous Fragments scattered around the Hall of Souls<\/strong>, often in places that are easy to fall off of, so make sure you have revive tokens on hand or Strand grapple equipped.<\/p>\n

Hall of Souls Taken Osseous Fragment 1<\/h4>\n

\"A<\/p>\n

When you spawn into the Mausoleum from the Trenchway \u2014 and you have that long, chitinous bridge \u2014 to the left of the main arena, head right and through the doorway. You\u2019ll find a Taken Osseous Fragment hiding behind some of the big stone slabs in the hallway.<\/p>\n

Hall of Souls Taken Osseous Fragment 2<\/h4>\n

\"A<\/p>\n

After Taken Osseous Fragment 1, through the main weapon chamber with the Tormentor, jump down and back when you reach the next bridge to find a Taken Osseous Fragment resting below the platform.<\/p>\n

Hall of Souls Taken Osseous Fragment 3<\/h4>\n

\"A<\/p>\n

Across the same bridge for Taken Osseous Fragment 2, past The Ravenous enemy, jump along the big pillars and land on a lip to your right, where you\u2019ll find another Taken Osseous Fragment.<\/p>\n

Hall of Souls Taken Osseous Fragment 4<\/h4>\n

\"A<\/p>\n

Continue jumping on the slabs from Taken Osseous Fragment 3 and round the corner. Walk forward from where you land, and instead of jumping up to the next platform, look under it to find a cylinder with a Taken Osseous Fragment resting on it.<\/p>\n

Hall of Souls Taken Osseous Fragment 5<\/h4>\n

\"A<\/p>\n

From Taken Osseous Fragment 4, take a left and run through the next chamber until you reach an exit barred off by Taken energy. Facing the door, look to your left and you\u2019ll find the final Taken Osseous Fragment for this area resting on a pillar.<\/p>\n

Mausoleum Taken Osseous Fragment locations<\/h3>\n

There are five Taken Osseous Fragments in the Mausoleum<\/strong>, including one in the final boss arena.<\/p>\n

Mausoleum Taken Osseous Fragment 1<\/h4>\n

\"A<\/p>\n

At the back of the area, across from the trench and near the infected ship, you\u2019ll find a Taken Osseous Fragment glowing on top of a pillar.<\/p>\n

Mausoleum Taken Osseous Fragment 2<\/h4>\n

\"A<\/p>\n

Near the opening of the trench but still on the upper floor, you\u2019ll find a Taken Osseous Fragment hidden under the large tentacle on the left side of the room.<\/p>\n

Mausoleum Taken Osseous Fragment 3<\/h4>\n

\"A<\/p>\n

Under the elevated platform in the middle of the room, you\u2019ll find the third Taken Osseous Fragment glowing in a corner under the crumbled bridge.<\/p>\n

Mausoleum Taken Osseous Fragment 4<\/h4>\n

\"A<\/p>\n

Inside the trench, on the way to the final boss, you\u2019ll see a cliff of crystals to your right. There is a Taken Osseous Fragment resting on one of the crystals.<\/p>\n

Mausoleum Taken Osseous Fragment 5<\/h4>\n

In the boss arena, on the right side if you\u2019re facing the Ogre, you\u2019ll find a Taken Osseous Fragment sitting on the back of a rock.<\/p>\n

Trenchway Taken Osseous Fragment locations<\/h3>\n

There are five Taken Osseous Fragments in the Trenchway<\/strong>, including two in the boss\u2019 general area, so be careful as you explore.<\/p>\n

Trenchway Taken Osseous Fragment 1<\/h4>\n

\"A<\/p>\n

To the left of where the boss is standing, doing his ritual, you\u2019ll see a Taken Osseous Fragment resting on a curled up lip of the Dreadnaught. Jump up the pillar to grab it.<\/p>\n

Trenchway Taken Osseous Fragment 2<\/h4>\n

\"A<\/p>\n

To the left of Taken Osseous Fragment 1, you\u2019ll find another tucked into some rubble on the ground.<\/p>\n

Trenchway Taken Osseous Fragment 3<\/h4>\n

\"A<\/p>\n

Inside, where the pair of Subjugators typically spawn, you\u2019ll find a rectangular platform. Jump onto it and you\u2019ll find another Taken Osseous Fragment.<\/p>\n

Trenchway Taken Osseous Fragment 4<\/h4>\n

\"A<\/p>\n

Across the gap from Taken Osseous Fragment 3, you\u2019ll find a large lip curled up on the wall. Jump up to it to get another Taken Osseous Fragment.<\/p>\n

Trenchway Taken Osseous Fragment 5<\/h4>\n

\"A<\/p>\n

Inside, on the far right side of the arena, you\u2019ll find the area where Oryx\u2019s throne was back in The Taken King<\/em> \u2014 a circular outcropping. Use the invisible platforms to jump over and you\u2019ll find a Taken Osseous Fragment embedded in a stone pillar.<\/p>\n

\n

How to get past the \u2018Moment of Clarity\u2019 step in \u2018Dyadic Ascension\u2019<\/h2>\n

\"A<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, as of this writing, the rest of the quest appears to be time-gated<\/strong>. Step 5\u2019s only step is \u201cMoment of Clarity acquired.\u201d<\/p>\n

But if you look below that, it says \u201cAcquire the Moment of Clarity upgrade from the Shaping Slab.\u201d This suggests that, much like the Step 3 of the quest, where it asks you to unlock \u201cUnbreakable Will,\u201d you\u2019ll need to upgrade your reputation with the Shaping Slab in order to proceed. However, the reputation track currently ends at level 10, and there is no \u201cMoment of Clarity\u201d upgrade to get.<\/p>\n

Bungie has confirmed, both in public communications and in an email to Polygon, that the \u201cMoment of Clarity\u201d upgrade won\u2019t be available until March 11 when Heresy Act 2 drops.<\/p>\n

As of this writing, there is no known information on how to get the four Catalysts for Barrow-Dyad. It\u2019s unclear if these also won\u2019t be available until Act 2 or later.<\/p>\n
