\u201cPoison in the Roots<\/strong>\u201d is part of the main questline in Diablo 4<\/a><\/em> season 7, Season of Witchcraft. In order to complete it, you\u2019ll need to help the witches of the Tree of Whispers by completing a special ritual. This quest includes some light puzzle elements, which can make it a little tricky.<\/p>\n

In this Diablo 4<\/em> guide, we\u2019ll give you a full \u201cPoison in the Roots\u201d walkthrough<\/strong>, including showing you how to navigate through the ritual puzzle.<\/p>\n

How to complete the ritual in \u2018Poison in the Roots\u2019 in Diablo 4<\/h2>\n

When you turn in enough Grim Favors<\/strong> (by doing Whispers out in the world), you\u2019ll be able to start the \u201cPoison in the Roots\u201d quest, and will be prompted to talk to the witches at the Tree of Whispers. The scene will fade to black and when you regain control, the witches will have set up a ritual. There are four parts to the ritual:<\/p>\n

  1. Light the braziers<\/li>\n
  2. Gather Nangari blood<\/li>\n
  3. Trace the ritual circle<\/li>\n
  4. Protect the ritual<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    We\u2019ll detail each step below.<\/p>\n

    Brazier puzzle solution in \u2018Poison in the Roots\u2019<\/h3>\n

    \"A<\/p>\n

    For the first ritual step, the witches will ask you to \u201cinvoke the tree\u2019s old name in the correct order.\u201d That\u2019s fancy Diablo talk for \u201cclick on the three witches in the right order.\u201d If you listen to what they say (or look in the chat log) each witch will have a spell word that they say in a certain order, which is the order you\u2019ll need to repeat back. <\/p>\n
