The Lord icon<\/strong> is a special hero icon that you\u2019re able to unlock for characters<\/a> in Marvel Rivals<\/em><\/a> as you level up your proficiency with them. Unfortunately, the game hides the proficiency menu pretty deep inside the character menu, and makes it hard to find out what new rewards you\u2019re about to unlock.<\/p>\n

In this Marvel Rivals<\/em> guide, we\u2019ll show you how to get the Lord icon<\/strong> for individual heroes, and what rewards you get for doing so.<\/p>\n

How to get Lord icons and other rewards in Marvel Rivals<\/h2>\n

The Lord icon \u2014 a fancy-looking icon that you might\u2019ve seen your allies have when selecting a hero, which shows them in a different pose with that signature Marvel Rivals<\/em> lightning crackling around them \u2014 is the ultimate reward for maxing out a character\u2019s proficiency<\/strong>. As you play a character, you\u2019ll increase your proficiency level with them, starting at Agent and progressing through Knight, Captain, Centurion, and eventually Lord.<\/p>\n

You get it the Lord icon when you reach the Lord level<\/strong>, hence why it\u2019s called that. This can take 15 or more hours to unlock, depending on how well you play your chosen hero.<\/p>\n

But the Lord icon isn\u2019t the only cool reward for increasing your proficiency. Here are all of the rewards you can get as you level up each hero through the ranks:<\/p>\n

You can preview all of these awards in each character\u2019s proficiency menu.<\/p>\n

How to increase hero proficiency in Marvel Rivals<\/h2>\n

To check your proficiency and see what you need to do in order to level it up, go to the heroes menu<\/strong> and select your best character<\/a>. At the top of the screen is a grey bar labeled \u201chero profile,\u201d and you\u2019ll find a tab labeled \u201cproficiency,\u201d on the far-right side. Click on it.<\/p>\n

Once in the proficiency menu, you\u2019ll see a your character and your level with them. Everyone starts out at the \u201cAgent\u201d level, and will progress through the ranks until they max out at \u201cLord.\u201d Each rank comes with a cosmetic reward, which you can see in the section above.<\/p>\n

To climb through these levels, you\u2019ll need to earn experience by completing quests<\/strong>, which you can see below your experience bar on the level page in the proficiency menu. These quests come in a few different flavors for each character and role:<\/p>\n
