Many of your go-to favorites won\u2019t be eligible here.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">If you\u2019re looking for some inspiration, we\u2019ve rounded up the top Pok\u00e9mon for the Color Cup in <em>Pok\u00e9mon Go<\/em> and their optimal movesets.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-none\" id=\"color-cup-great-league-edition-restrictions\"><strong>Color Cup: Great League Edition restrictions<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">Only four types of Pok\u00e9mon are allowed to enter the Color Cup: <strong>fire-, water-, grass-, and electric-type Pok\u00e9mon<\/strong>. There\u2019s also a <strong>1,500 CP limit<\/strong> for each member of your team.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">This is one of the more restrictive cups in the Go Battle League, although all four eligible types of Pok\u00e9mon are fairly common, so chances are you\u2019ll have a decent collection already to choose from. The ability to use dual types also increases the pool of eligible Pok\u00e9mon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">Because the Color Cup has the same CP limit as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.polygon.com\/e\/500388\">Great League<\/a>, you\u2019ll find that there\u2019s some crossover between the two when it comes to the top-ranking Pok\u00e9mon. If you want to compete in the Color Cup on a budget, try using Pok\u00e9mon you\u2019ve already optimized for the Great League rather than powering up new ones specifically for this cup.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-none\" id=\"color-cup-best-team\"><strong>Color Cup best team<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">Here\u2019s one of the best teams you can use for the Color Cup: Great League Edition in <em>Pok\u00e9mon Go<\/em>:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Alolan Marowak<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Morpeko<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Qwilfish<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">All three of these Pok\u00e9mon have dual typings, which gives them unique resistances and access to some excellent moves. Between them, you\u2019ll have access to fire-, ghost-, ground-, electric-, dark-, psychic-, poison-, ice-, and water-type attacks. There aren\u2019t many Pok\u00e9mon you won\u2019t have an answer for there!<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\"><strong>Alolan Marowak<\/strong> is a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.polygon.com\/e\/500388\">Great League<\/a> favorite that looks like it will perform even better in the Color Cup, especially as many of the Pok\u00e9mon that could exploit its weaknesses aren\u2019t eligible to compete here. It\u2019s got great stats and an excellent, varied moveset that can target plenty of fierce opponents.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\"><strong>Morpeko<\/strong>\u2019s not-so-secret weapon is its signature charged move, Aura Wheel. It&#8217;s relatively cheap to use, alternates between electric- and dark-type damage for extra coverage, and increases the Pok\u00e9mon\u2019s Attack by one stage every time it\u2019s used. Morpeko might be fragile on the battlefield, but it can dish out some serious damage while it lasts.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">Finally, we have <strong>Qwilfish<\/strong>. With a total of eight resistances (which includes fire and water), it\u2019s got an advantage against many opponents in the Color Cup. Its poison sub-typing also means Qwilfish doesn\u2019t have a weakness to grass-type moves, which most water-type Pok\u00e9mon do.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">If you don\u2019t have those Pok\u00e9mon in your collection (or you don\u2019t have enough resources to optimise them), there are plenty more great Pok\u00e9mon to try on your team. These include <strong>Salazzle<\/strong>, <strong>Hisuian Electrode<\/strong>, <strong>Jumpluff<\/strong>, <strong>Gastrodon<\/strong>, <strong>Toxapex<\/strong>, <strong>Emolga<\/strong>, and <strong>Magmar<\/strong>. Things don\u2019t always work out the same in reality as they do on paper, of course, but it would be wise to have at least one strong Toxapex counter to hand.
