Pok\u00e9mon Go<\/em><\/a> is having a Sprigatito Community Day event on Jan. 5 from 2-5 p.m. in your local time.<\/p>\n

As expected with a Community Day event, Sprigatito will spawn in huge numbers with a high chance for it to appear shiny. There are also several other bonuses and perks, which we\u2019ve listed out below.<\/p>\n

How do I catch a shiny Sprigatito?<\/h2>\n

As per old research by the now-defunct website The Silph Road (via Wayback Machine<\/a>), Shiny rates on Community Days are about 1 in 24, which means that if you keep playing throughout the three-hour window, you should find quite a few shiny Pok\u00e9mon.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re short on time or Pok\u00e9 Balls, you can pop an Incense, then quickly tap each Sprigatito to check for shiny ones, running from any that aren\u2019t shiny. Notably, any Sprigatito you\u2019ve already tapped will face where your player is standing, so that should help identify which ones you may have already checked.<\/p>\n

What Community Day move does Sprigatito\u2019s evolution learn?<\/h2>\n

If you evolve Floragato into Meowscarada from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. in your local time, it will learn the charged move Frenzy Plant<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

If you miss out on evolving it during this period, you will likely be able to evolve it during a Community Day weekend event in December to get Frenzy Plant. If you don\u2019t want to wait, you can use an Elite TM<\/a> to get the move.<\/p>\n

How does Meowscarada do in the meta<\/h2>\n

Meowscarada isn\u2019t great for PvP, but it actually is a pretty good grass-type attacker for raids and gyms. Set it up with Leafage<\/strong> and Frenzy Plant <\/strong>and it\u2019ll dish out some great damage. It still doesn\u2019t top the best grass-type attackers like Kartana or some of the shadow and\/or Mega Pok\u00e9mon, but it gets the job done.<\/p>\n
