Marvel\u2019s first family, the Fantastic Four, is coming to hero shooter Marvel Rivals<\/a><\/em> as part of the game\u2019s next season, according to a leak reportedly originating from an online advertisement<\/a>. The Human Torch, the Thing, Mr. Fantastic, and the Invisible Woman (and maybe even HERBIE<\/a> too) will reportedly be a big part of season 1 \u2014 Marvel Rivals<\/em> is currently in season 0<\/a> \u2014 when it launches next week.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not clear what roles each hero will have, though the Thing would logically fit in the Vanguard role, while Invisible Woman would certainly be a good fit as a Strategist. The Fantastic Four will no doubt have plenty of Team-Up synergies<\/a> between themselves, and possibly with other heroes \u2014 like Namor, for example.<\/p>\n

According to previous leaks, Marvel baddie Ultron will also show up in Marvel Rivals<\/em><\/a> sometime during season 1. Developer NetEase Games has not yet confirmed those new additions.<\/p>\n

The addition of four or more new heroes in a single season would rapidly expand Marvel Rivals<\/em>\u2019 already massive roster; the game currently boasts 33 playable heroes and villains.<\/p>\n

Fantastic Four\u2019s arrival in Marvel Rivals<\/em> comes about six months before the quartet will make its debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in The Fantastic Four: First Steps<\/a><\/em>. That movie, the start of Marvel Studios\u2019 Phase Six, opens in theaters on July 25.<\/p>\n

Marvel Rivals<\/em> is available as a free-to-play game on PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X.<\/p>\n
