With how challenging <em>Path of Exile 2<\/em> can be, ascending is a must.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">If you\u2019re blazing through <em>Path of Exile 2<\/em> and not completing any side quests, it\u2019s easy to miss the initial ascendancy quest. Here\u2019s <strong>how to ascend in <em>Path of Exile 2<\/em><\/strong>, plus how to get more Ascendancy points.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to ascend in Path of Exile 2<\/h2>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">To ascend to your Ascendancy class in <em>Path of Exile 2<\/em>, you\u2019ll need to complete the <strong>Trial of the Sehkemas <\/strong>in <strong>Act 2<\/strong>, which is unlocked after defeating Balbala, The Traitor in Traitor\u2019s Passage in Act 2. Make sure to pick up the <strong>Balbala\u2019s Barya coin<\/strong> as it\u2019s your key to entering the trial.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/arcader.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/how-to-ascend-in-path-of-exile-2-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" data-has-syndication-rights=\"1\" data-caption=\"\" data-portal-copyright=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">To complete the Trial of the Sehkemas, you\u2019ll need to progress through seven challenges and a boss in the final room.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">Some challenges will have their own conditions that\u2019ll either hinder your character with a penalty or add debuffs to make the trial even harder. Additionally, you\u2019ll have a life total that spreads across the entire gauntlet called <strong>honour<\/strong>, which is shown at the bottom of your screen. With every hit you take during the trial, your honour will decrease. Once it reaches zero, you\u2019ll fail the trial and need to start all over again, so be mindful of it!<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">Once you complete the Trial of the Sehkemas, interact with the <strong>Altar of Ascendancies<\/strong> to choose your Ascendancy class and receive <strong>two Ascendancy points<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to get more Ascendancy points in Path of Exile 2<\/h2>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">To get your second pair of Ascendancy points in <em>Path of Exile 2<\/em>, you must complete the <strong>Trial of Chaos at the Temple of Chaos in Act 3<\/strong>, which is unlocked after defeating Xyclucian, the Chimera in the Chimeral Wetlands in Act 3. Make sure to grab the <strong>chimeral inscribed ultimatum<\/strong> dropped by the boss as that is your key to the trial.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/arcader.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/how-to-ascend-in-path-of-exile-2-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" data-has-syndication-rights=\"1\" data-caption=\"\" data-portal-copyright=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">The Trial of Chaos functions similarly to the Trial of the Sehkemas in that it is a gauntlet of challenges you must complete, but rather than choosing between rooms to enter, you must choose a negative modifier that\u2019ll persist throughout each subsequent room. After you\u2019ve completed the three challenges and defeated the boss, you\u2019ll receive your rewards and <strong>two Ascendancy points<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">As for the next pair of Ascendancy points, it\u2019s assumed to come from the Trial of the Sehkemas and Trial of Chaos in <strong>cruel difficulty<\/strong>, or a <strong>Djinn Barya coin<\/strong> or an <strong>Inscribed Ultimatum coin<\/strong>, which are variants of the trial keys. The Djinn Barya coin must be marked with <strong>three trials<\/strong>, while the <strong>Inscribed Ultimatum coin<\/strong> marked with <strong>seven trials<\/strong>.
