Players can take control of the likes of Captain America, Spider-Man, Moon Knight, and more to take on a multiversal threat in this third-person <em>Overwatch<\/em>-like.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">Here\u2019s&nbsp;when <em>Marvel Rivals<\/em> releases, including a breakdown based on your time zone, and what you need to know about it before launch.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Marvel Rivals release time on PC, PS5, and Xbox<\/h2>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\"><strong>Marvel Rivals will release at 7 p.m. EST on Thursday, Dec. 5<\/strong> according to a countdown clock on its website. Here\u2019s when that is in your time zone:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>4 p.m. PST on Dec. 5<\/strong>&nbsp;for the West Coast of North America<\/li>\n<li><strong>7 p.m. EST<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>on Dec. 5&nbsp;<\/strong>for the East Coast of North America<\/li>\n<li><strong>12 a.m. GMT on Dec. 6 <\/strong>for the U.K.<\/li>\n<li><strong>1 a.m. CET<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>on Dec. 6<\/strong>&nbsp;for Western Europe\/Paris<\/li>\n<li><strong>9 a.m. JST<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>on Dec. 6&nbsp;<\/strong>for Tokyo<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">The launch will be global at <strong>midnight UTC on Dec. 6<\/strong>, and the game will hit the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, Steam, and Xbox Series X at the same time.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What to expect from Marvel Rivals<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/arcader.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/what-time-does-marvel-rivals-release-in-your-time-zone-1.jpg\" alt=\"A group of Marvel Heroes fight together in Marvel Rivals\" title=\"A group of Marvel Heroes fight together in Marvel Rivals\" data-has-syndication-rights=\"1\" data-caption=\"\" data-portal-copyright=\"Image: NetEase Games\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\"><em>Marvel Rivals<\/em> is a third-person shooter and multiplayer game. You\u2019ll matchmake into a game with a team of six, and each player will then select a hero from the Marvel Comics Universe. Only one person can play as an individual hero per team, so you can\u2019t play a game filled with Spider-Mans (at least not at launch).<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">Heroes fit into one of three roles:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Vanguards<\/strong> <strong>(tanks)<\/strong> like Thor, Venom, and Captain America<\/li>\n<li><strong>Duelists (damage)<\/strong> like Black Panther, Namor, and The Punisher<\/li>\n<li><strong>Strategists (support)<\/strong> like Rocket Raccoon, Loki, and Adam Warlock<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">When your team and heroes load in, you\u2019ll be tasked with one of a few different objective modes, like capturing a point across a few different maps or escorting a chariot. In the quick match queue, each team only plays one side, and the victor is determined on if the offensive or defensive side is victorious. But in the competitive queue, matches consist of multiple rounds of an objective, and the winner is determined based on who wins the most rounds.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">If you\u2019re familiar with Blizzard\u2019s <em>Overwatch <\/em>and other hero shooters, Marvel Rivals should feel fairly similar. But the familiar Marvel heroes (all of which have pretty unique visual designs) and third person perspective give the game a fresh feel, so you\u2019re not guaranteed to love or hate it based on your feelings on other games in the genre.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\"><em>Marvel Rivals<\/em> is also based on a seasonal model. At launch, season 0, \u201cDoom\u2019s Rise,\u201d will last about a month.
