A positive side effect of not requiring an online connection, possibly? Whatever the case, it was relatively smooth sailing for most players, but even so there&#8217;s always tidying to be done, and a patch is on the way later this week.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Hey everyone, we have our first patch for Dragon Age: The Veilguard coming later this week to all platforms!&#8221; BioWare announced on <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/steamcommunity.com\/ogg\/1845910\/announcements\/detail\/4453590197273100569\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><u>Steam<\/u><\/a>. &#8220;This patch will include some bug fixes, minor balance changes, and some crash mitigations.&#8221;<\/p>\n<div class=\"see-more see-more--clipped\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet hawk-ignore\" data-lang=\"en\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Hey everyone,We have our first patch for #DragonAge: The Veilguard coming later this week to all platforms! Full Patch Notes will be available with the patch!Some examples include:-\u2026<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/cantworkitout\/status\/1853581274473996401\">November 4, 2024<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div class=\"see-more__filter\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The full patch notes will be included with the patch itself, as is the way of things, but a few example fixes include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Fixed an issue where some customizations were not applied to the Inquisitor correctly in one scene.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Fixed an issue where DLSS options could end up \u201cgrayed-out\u201d on a 40-series Nvidia GPU. (PC only)<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Fixed an issue that caused Companion Skill Points to reset.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Shortly after The Veilguard went live, BioWare also shared some &#8220;<a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/news\/app\/1845910\/view\/4453590197273100462\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><u>technical tips<\/u><\/a>&#8221; for getting the most out of the game on PC, but that was really just &#8220;update your drivers&#8221; and use the low graphical preset if you&#8217;re playing on Steam Deck, so not much to see there.<\/p>\n<p>Which is good news, really: The patch announcement has attracted an assortment of replies asking for fixes for various specific issues\u2014adding an option to hide the &#8220;skip&#8221; button on cutscenes seems pretty high on the request list\u2014but there&#8217;s no overwhelming flood of <em>it doesn&#8217;t work right<\/em>.
