Ostensibly, valuables are only \u201cvaluable\u201d insofar as you can sell them in exchange for gold. But they\u2019re also helpful for boosting your standing with each of the game\u2019s factions<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Should you sell valuables in Dragon Age: The Veilguard?<\/h2>\n

In short, yes, you should sell your valuables in Dragon Age: The Veilguard<\/em><\/strong>. You\u2019ll get gold for every valuable you sell, and there\u2019s no other use for them. You\u2019re not able to sell equipment or crafting materials, so don\u2019t worry about accidentally selling off something important.<\/p>\n

So the question isn\u2019t if you should sell your valuables, but rather who<\/em> you should sell your valuables to. Selling valuables to a faction\u2019s merchant increases that faction\u2019s overall strength, which is something you\u2019ll need to do to ensure a positive outcome in The Veilguard<\/em>\u2019s final act. Upgrading a faction\u2019s strength also unlocks new gear for their merchant.<\/p>\n

Based on our testing, you\u2019ll get +3 faction strength<\/strong> for every valuable you sell to a particular faction.<\/p>\n

If all you care about is gold, sell your valuables to whomever. But if, say, you really want to get the Lords of Fortune merchant to level three so you can unlock an axe upgrade for your companion<\/a> Taash, make sure to hold onto your valuables until you come across the Lords of Fortune faction merchant.<\/p>\n
