Though boons,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.polygon.com\/hades-2-guides\/24148060\/keepsakes-all-list-how-to-unlock-effects\">Keepsakes<\/a>, and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.polygon.com\/hades-2-guides\/24150082\/arcana-cards-list-abilities-upgrades-perks\">Arcana Cards<\/a>&nbsp;can significantly change your build, weapons are the means by which you deal damage.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">Each weapon is vastly different from the others. Some require you to get up close and personal; others allow you to keep your distance. And you can change how they function by finding <strong>Daedalus Hammers<\/strong> in the middle of your runs. (Just look for the hammer-shaped icon when choosing which room to enter.)<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">Here\u2019s a list of <strong>all weapons in <em>Hades 2<\/em><\/strong>, plus details about how to unlock them and what they\u2019re best at. <\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\" \/>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"KGW6JK\"><strong>All Hades 2 weapons and unlock costs<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/arcader.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/how-to-unlock-all-weapons-in-hades-2-1.png\" alt=\"A menu shows the list of all weapons in Hades 2.\" title=\"A menu shows the list of all weapons in Hades 2.\" data-has-syndication-rights=\"1\" data-caption=\"\" data-portal-copyright=\"Image: Supergiant Games via Polygon\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>Hades 2<\/em> features six weapons, and according to Supergiant, that\u2019s the entire roster planned for <em>Hades 2<\/em>\u2019s launch. Here\u2019s a list of Nocturnal Arms, their respective unlock requirements, and a detailed breakdown for each.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Witch\u2019s Staff \u2014 starting weapon<\/li>\n<li>Sister Blades \u2014 1 silver<\/li>\n<li>Umbral Flames \u2014 3 silver, 3 cinder<\/li>\n<li>Moonstone Axe \u2014 15 silver<\/li>\n<li>Argent Skull \u2014 1 bronze, 2 glassrock<\/li>\n<li>Black Coat \u2014 2 cinder, 2 adamant<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">Every weapon in <em>Hades 2<\/em> has a basic attack (X on Steam Deck or controller input) and a special attack (Y on Steam Deck or controller input). You can hold each input for a few seconds to perform an \u201cOmega\u201d version of that move, which costs some magick but is generally more powerful.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Witch\u2019s Staff (Descura)<\/strong> is the weapon you start with, and the easiest to use. Its attack is as basic as it gets, the sort of standard melee combo you\u2019ll find in many isometric action games of this nature. Its special, meanwhile, is a long-range projectile \u2014 and if you charge it up for an Omega move, that projectile will explode on impact.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Sister Blades (Lim and Oros)<\/strong> are the most nimble of the Nocturnal Arms, faster than the rest, though they deal notably lower damage. But the Omega version of the basic attack is one of the best moves in the game: It allows you to teleport behind an adjacent enemy.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Umbral Flames (Flames of Ygnium)<\/strong> are, quite frankly, really hard to make sense of. You can either shoot magic orbs of fire or, as a special, surround yourself with magic orbs of fire. (We have not had much success with the Umbral Flames, perhaps because we have yet to figure out how best to use them.)<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Moonstone Axe (Zorephet)<\/strong> is a lumbering monstrosity, with slow-moving but high-damage attacks. While it\u2019s extremely effective at clearing rooms of enemies, it underperforms against bosses, which typically require you to both keep your distance and move quickly.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">The <strong>Argent Skull (Revaal)<\/strong> is the most unique weapon in <em>Hades 2 <\/em>at the moment. You have three skulls you can use as ammo for a hard-hitting primary attack. Once you fire the skull, it sits on the ground until you pick it up. Your special is a dash that deals some damage, but is specifically great for helping you reclaim your skull ammo.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">The<strong> Black Coat (Xinth)<\/strong> is kind of like an Iron Man exosuit with built-in boxing gloves. Your standard attack is a punch, which can be charged up for a block with an Omega move. Interact with the giant pool of light in the center of the room to pull up a menu with all available weapons.<\/p>\n<p>As you can see from the chart above, you unlock most Nocturnal Arms with <strong>silver<\/strong>, but will need some other resources \u2014 <strong>cinder, glassrock (or G Rock),<\/strong> and<strong> bronze<\/strong> \u2014 to get every weapon.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"bFdFHU\"><strong>How to get silver<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/arcader.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/how-to-unlock-all-weapons-in-hades-2.jpg\" alt=\"Melinoe stands next to a pile of silver in Hades 2 for unlocking all new weapons.\" title=\"Melinoe stands next to a pile of silver in Hades 2 for unlocking all new weapons.\" data-has-syndication-rights=\"1\" data-caption=\"Silver deposits, like the one Melino\u00eb is next to above, are essential for unlocking new weapons. | Image: Supergiant Games via Polygon\" data-portal-copyright=\"Image: Supergiant Games via Polygon\" \/><\/p>\n<p>To get silver, you\u2019ll first need to unlock the <strong>Crescent Pick<\/strong>, which costs one ash.<\/p>\n<p>Once unlocked, equip the Crescent Pick before heading out on a run (you can only have one tool equipped at a time) and keep an eye out for mounds of silvery crescent moons. Each mound grants you three silver. If you unlock the <strong>Reagent Sensing<\/strong> incantation (it costs <strong>one moly flower<\/strong>), the game will automatically point out reserves of silver once you\u2019ve cleared a room of enemies.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, if you come across <strong>Narcissus in Oceanus<\/strong>, he has the chance to offer you six silver as one of his rotational rewards. But given the random nature here, you\u2019re better off going with the Crescent Pick.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"pW8acz\"><strong>How to get cinder<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>As for <strong>cinder<\/strong>, you get one each time you defeat Hecate, the first boss. In other words, you\u2019ll need to defeat her three times before you can unlock the Umbral Flames.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"Ig9VMb\"><strong>How to get G rock<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>For the Argent Skull, <strong>glassrock (or G rock)<\/strong> is located in the Fields of Mourning region. Just as with silver, the Reagent Sensing incantation will direct you directly toward any mounds of glassrock.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"c4bPje\"><strong>How to get bronze<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">Also for the Argent Skull, <strong>bronze <\/strong>is located in the City of Ephyra, which you can only reach once you\u2019re able to go to the surface. Once you\u2019re topside, the Reagent Sensing incantation will point you toward any nearby mounds of bronze. It\u2019s a bit of an involved process, though, so you may want to consult our guides on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.polygon.com\/hades-2-guides\/24152102\/bronze-how-to-get-olympus-surface-how-to-reach\">how to get bronze<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.polygon.com\/hades-2-guides\/24152904\/thalamus-how-to-get-origin-seed-location\">how to get thalamus<\/a> (a resource you\u2019ll need to cast an incantation that allows you to survive on the surface).<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-none\" id=\"how-to-get-adamant\">How to get adamant<\/h3>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">For the Black Coat, you\u2019ll need to find <strong>adamant<\/strong>, which is located in the Mount Olympus region. Outside of the final boss (which is currently unavailable in early access), this is the final region in the surface path. As usual, follow the Reagent Sensing incantation while topside and you\u2019ll find some black and blue rocks sparkling in the snow. Mine it with the Crescent Pick and take it back to camp with you to make the Black Coat.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\" \/>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"RwnKQQ\"><strong>When will more weapons be added to Hades 2?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">With the addition of the Black Coat, Supergiant claims in the in-game roadmap and patch notes that <strong>the set of Nocturnal Arms are now complete<\/strong>, meaning we won\u2019t be getting any more weapons in any of the other major updates to the game.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">While it\u2019s possible the studio could add a surprise weapon or additional weapon aspects (which change how your weapons work) in a future update or even post-1.0, that\u2019s pure speculation.
