How to Turn on the Power

First things first, before you go obtaining any of the D.I.E. Wonder Weapons you’ll want to turn on the power. To do so, look for the crafting table that can be found up against the nearby building. Just right of this table, you will find a green door – using 500 points, open the door.

Now that you’re inside, look for the staircase that leads to the second floor – this will be marked with a bright purple arrow that points towards the floor above. You will need to clear the debris blocking the staircase for 750 points in order to continue.

At the top of the staircase, turn left and make your way towards the end of the “Bedroom”. At the very end, you will find a blocked doorway next to the large purple arrow on the wall, just across from the Stamin-Up Perk Machine. Clear the doorway for 1,000 points and continue to the Crash Site.

Follow the Crash Site to the opposite end – you’ll pass the Jugger-Nog Perk Machine along the way – and you will find yet another blocked path marked by a large red cross, that leads to an underground tunnel. Clear the path for 1,250 points.

Head inside the Tunnel and turn left where you will find a set of newly opened doors that lead to the Facility. Enter the Facility and continue following the path down until you reach a set of doors in the Control Room. You’ll want to select the door on your left that leads to the Medical Bay – this will cost you 1,500 points.

With the Medical Bay now unlocked, head inside and look for the next door. This door will lead you to the Particle Accelerator room and will set you back 1,500 points.

Once inside the Particle Accelerator room, use the Power icon to navigate the area, as you’ll have one final door to unlock. Costing 1,750 points, open the door and interact with the Red Power button to turn on the power.

How to Pack-A-Punch

Now that the power is turned on, it’s time to unlock the Pack-A-Punch. To do so, look for the two Terminal way points that are now showing in the Particle Accelerator room. You will find both Terminal’s in the same room, adjacent to each other. Make your way to each Terminal and activate the Hydro-Energy Infusions.

Now that you have infused both Terminal’s, an anomaly will begin to appear in the middle of the room. Go downstairs and enter the anomaly in order to be teleported to the Dark Aether.

Once inside the alternate dimension, make your way to the surface as you head towards the way point in the Crash Site area. Along the way you will need to clear some debris that’s blocking the exit of the Tunnel for 1,250 points.

After exiting the Tunnel, head towards the Aether Tunnel way point that can be found in the Crash Site area. Try not too take too long reaching these way points, as your time in the Aether is limited.

As you reach the Aether Tunnel, enter it for 500 points and you will be teleported to a locked room. In this room, you will find the missing Machine Part in the corner that is needed to fix the Pack-A-Punch Machine.

With the Machine Part in hand, make your way back to the Particle Accelerator and forge the machine with the missing part. Now that the Machine has been forged, you will be teleported out of the Dark Aether and have full access to the Pack-A-Punch Machine.

The Pack-A-Punch Machine will now give you the option to upgrade your weapon to three different tier levels that increase your weapons damage and enhance their attributes. To Pack your weapon you will need the following points:

  • Tier: 5,000 points
  • Tier 2: 15,000 points
  • Tier 3: 30,000 points.

Along with the Pack Weapon upgrades, you will also have the option for Ammo Mods. Ammo Mods will allow bullet’ to deal electric damage, along with a chance to stun enemies.

Before you can obtain the DIE Shockwave Wonder Weapon, you will need to firstly Turn on the Power and repair the Pack-A-Punch Machine.

Should you have completed both of these tasks, a Megaton enemy will spawn. With the ability to split into two, kill the two halves of the Megaton in order to receive a golden keycard.

Now that you have obtained the Keycard, head to the Weapons Lab which can be found within the Facility building.

On the wall opposite the Mystery Box, you will find a computer. Using your keycard on the computer, pick up the D.I.E. Remote Control that spawns.

With the D.I.E. collected, return to the Nacht Der Undertoten building which can be found at the start of the map. Once you reach the building, head inside and look for the Living Room on the first floor.Having reached the Living Room, look for the small cracked wall that can be found just opposite the nearby staircase. By interacting with the glowing blue hole, you will activate the D.I.E. Machine inside the small locked room. With the machine activated, kill approximately 30 Zombies in front of the machine. Each successful kill will show the Zombies soul leaving its body as its sucked into the machine. It’s worth noting that not all Zombies will be killed by the machine, so keep that in mind when dealing with large clusters.Once you have killed enough Zombies, discharge the device and watch as the door to the room is blown off. Inside the room, you will find a corpse holding the D.I.E. Shockwave – pick it up!

How to Get the Aethescope

Having obtained your D.I.E. Shockwave, it’s now time to get the Aether Scope. To do so, head to the Dark Aether and collect the three required parts that are needed to build the Aetherscope. You can find the three required parts in the following locations:

  • The Crash – This part can be found on top of the crashed plane.
  • The Yard – Beneath the staircase that’s found outside the Nacht Der Untoten building.
  • Particle Accelerator – Behind the Fast Travel Point.

With the three parts collected, make your way to the nearest crafting bench in order to build the Aetherscope.

Step One: Collect Doctor Vogel’s Diary and Speak with the Three Anomalies

To complete the first step of the Easter Egg, start by making your way back to the Dark Aether. Once you arrive, head to the Medical Bay where you will find Doctor Vogel’s Diary on top of the desk with the old computer.

Upon picking up the Diary, three Spectral Anomalies (or ghosts) will spawn around the Aether. You will need to interact with the three Anomalies – which look like small blue orbs – and can be found in the following locations:

  • Medical Bay: You will find the Anomaly on the lowest floor of the Medical Bay, directly beneath the office in which you found the diary.
  • Control Room: You will find the Anomaly inside the Control Room, towards your right as you enter the room from the Facility.
  • Particle Accelerator: Finally, you will find the last Anomaly next to the Workbench in the Particle Accelerator room.

Having spoken to all three Anomalies, leave the Dark Aether and return to the computer in the Medical Bay. Interact with the computer and input the password to reactivate the large device.

Before we can move onto step three, it is important that we upgrade our Wonder Weapon to the four different variants that are available. To do so, check out the guides below.

How to Unlock the D.I.E. Cryo-Emitter (Ice) Wonder Weapon

To unlock the D.I.E. Cyro-Emitter Wonder Wonder you will need to head to the Penthouse, which can be found at the top of the Nacht Der Untoten building.

At the top, look over the edge of the building near the green tarp and you will find a box just towards the left. Shoot this box and pick up the Flask that is dropped to the Pond area below. Once you have collected the Flask, look for the nearby tree that is covered in fungus.

You will need to lure a Megaton zombie to this area and have it blast the fungus covered tree with its radio-active attack. Having done so, interact with the fungus and place the flask beneath it.

Once the flask has been filled, pick it up and make your way to the Medical Bay in the Facility.

Upon arriving in the Medical Bay, you will find a a small boxed covered in chains, not too far from the Particle Accelerator door.

Using your flask, interact with the box and have the flask remove the chains. When opening the box, you will be rewarded with the D.I.E. Cryo-Emitter.

How to Unlock the D.I.E. Nova 5 (Toxic) Wonder Weapon

To unlock the D.I.E. Nova 5 Wonder Weapon, make your way to the Mezzanine room which can be found on the top floor of the Nacht Der Untoten building. Once you reach the top, you will find a small golden canister sitting on a table inside a small room towards the end of the building.

Unable to reach the canister by foot, use the D.I.E. Wonder Weapon’s suction ability to pull the canister towards you. Now that you have the canister, head to the Weapons Lab in the Facility and insert it into the into white machine that can be found just right of the large blueprint that’s hanging on the wall.

Upon inserting the canister, kill the Plaguehound that spawns near the machine. With the canister now infected, pick it up and head towards the Crash Site.

Near the crashed planed, you will find a small box – interact with it and then melee it. You will now be able to pick up the D.I.E Nova 5 from the box.

How to Unlock the D.I.E. Electrobolt (Lightning) Wonder Weapon

Once you have obtained the D.I.E Shockwave, make your way back to the Dark Aether Portal that can be found on the ground floor of the Particle Accelerator room, just under the Pack-A-Punch machine.

Upon entering the Dark Aether, you will be required to collect a total of three energy crystals. These crystals can be found in the following locations and can be collected in any order.

  • Crash Site:
    • You will find the energy crystal on the ground near the entrance to the Tunnel, not too far from the Perk Machine.
  • Nacht Der Untoten:
    • You will find this energy crystal on the roof of the Nacht Der Untoten, just above the Stamina-Up Machine.
  • Pond:
    • The final energy crystal can be found near the mystery box, not too far from the path that leads to the Facility Tunnel.

It’s important to note that you can only collect one crystal at a time, meaning that you will need to make three separate trips for the crystals.

After picking up each crystal, return to the Particle Accelerator room and shoot the crystal into the box that can be found on the first floor of the room. Upon repeating this step for the third crystal, you will receive the D.I.E. Electrobolt variant of the Wonder Weapon.

How to Unlock the D.I.E. Thermophasic (Fire) Wonder Weapon

To obtain the Thermophasic Wonder Weapon, head to the Pond and enter through the Dark Aether portal.

Upon reaching the Dark Aether, make your way to the Crash Site, where you will find a small box beneath the floating plane.

Based on a time limit, you will need to complete the following steps as quickly as possible.

To start, melee the small box to receive a Fuse. With the Fuse in hand, make your way to the Weapons Labs in the Facility and place the Fuse in the Plasma Cutter that’s across from the Perk Machine.

Return to the normal world and make your way back to the Pond. Here, look for the old truck and you will find the D.I.E. Thermophasic weapon when interacting with the green box that can be found sitting on the truck’s bed.

Step Two: Raise the Cylinders

With the large tube-like device now activated and glowing purple, use all four of our Wonder Weapon variants to shoot the four large cylinders arms that are hanging from the device. You will know if the shot has been successful as the cylinders will begin to rise up.

Once all four cylinders has been risen, it’s time to move on to the next step.

Step Three: Decontamination Agent

Now that the large cylinder-like device has been activated by the Wonder Weapons, use the portal found near the Medical Bay and Particle Accelerator to enter the Dark Aether.

Once inside the Dark Aether, head to the balcony upstairs on the top floor and speak with the Anomaly. Having learnt that two soldiers had stolen some items, head back to the normal world and collect the Dark Aether Wrench from the Medical Bay.

Next, make your way to the Yard and look for the old ruined tank. Using your Dark Aether Wrench, interact with the four broken areas of the tank in order to repair it.

After interacting with the Tank, a Zombie will try and make its way out of the hatch in the tank – kill it. Next, head to the nearby crafting table and created a Semtex or Frag Grenade.

With the Semtex / Frag Grenade created, throw or stick it to the hatch and watch as the tank fires a shot at a tree in the Crash Site area. Head to the Crash Site and look for the destroyed tree.

Not too far from the tree, you will find the Decontamination Agent near the Perk Machine.

With the Decontamination Agent in hand, make your way to the Medical Bay where you found the Dark Aether Wrench and place the Decontamination Agent into the glowing red slot.

Now that the Decontamination Agent is in place, wait for a Megaton zombie to spawn, where you’ll want to deal enough damage to split the Megaton into two zombies. Lure the two zombies beneath the Decontamination Agent and watch as it gets sucked into the device.

After being sucked inside, make your way to the computer in the Medical Bay and interact with the computer. This will trigger a lockdown to occur, resulting in several waves of Megaton zombies and Plaguehounds – defeat them in order to reach the final step. You will want to reach the surface area as quickly as possible, as this will give you your best chance at survival.

WARNING: Before you continue on, you will want to prepare for the final boss battle – so be sure to stock up on all your supplies and finalize any weapons that you want to take with it.

With the waves of Zombies taken care of, make your way to the Living Room in the Nacht Der Untoten building and enter the Dark Ether portal.

Once inside, enter the Omega Outpost and speak with Orlov who can be found in the corner. After speaking with Orlov, interact with the photograph he left behind in order to trigger the final boss fight.

Step Four: The Final Boss Fight

While the final boss fight is pretty straightforward, it does happen to be very difficult as it’s easy to get overwhelmed by the amount of zombies in the area.

To complete the Die Maschine Easter Egg, simply protect Orlov from three challenging waves of Zombies. During these waves, you will want to ensure that Orlov does not get hit, as this will slow down the process of shutting down the Particle Accelerator. You will also want to utilize your Wonder Weapons during these waves, as the weapons will dramatically increase your chances of surviving the onslaught of Zombies.

Once you have successfully shutdown the Particle Accelerator, make your way back to the Pond – but be sure to avoid the lightning strikes along the way, as they can deal significant amounts of damage should you get hit.

Once you reach the Pond, interact with the helicopter and you will have completed the Easter Egg.
